Government should just send them back home to their families along with the medications and possibly make them serve jail time after pandemic is over(keep the ones who are cooperating or in critical condition ). If these people are not willing to cooperate then it’s a waste of money and resources to spend treating them . Not surprised at the neighbors comments, it’s easier to be denial and be blinded in religious beliefs 😒.
Do you think they would've just quarantine with their families ? No, they wouldn't have......
Around 10 Jamaati's had stayed at the first patient in Dharavi, mumbai 's house, the guy had provided the group with food......... he contracted covid from them as he had no travel history and community transmission hadnt started then........ and later he died.......Dharavi being the biggest slum in Asia, it was only a matter of time when it escalated....then too government has done a great job, sealing of buildings and keeping the spread to minimum......otherwise Dharavi has a population of 15 lakh people....so just imagine where this could've lead us to......
also all those 500-600 people will travel through public transport......that would be another risk of adding at least 4000-5000 more patients.......plus there is no guarantee that they would stay put at home and not roam around......n obviously we cannot hire one-one policeman to make sure all those patients stayed in quarantine, can we ??
