Immunity cant be boosted in a few weeks time. It will take a lot more time than that. Even if a good person can get Covid and can spread it on to other patients so testing is the only way we can isolate patients. The patients are not left out once they test positive.

The patient who are tested positive are not just tested once. For example: Kanika Kapoor was tested almost 6 times.

Several gathering has happened : Tablighi Jamaat Tirupati gathering, some funeral gathering, aatunkal pongala gathering in kerala. There were even people who went out on Janta curfew which was meant to keep people at home. All of these are seriously wrong but we cant stop testing because of them.

Its good for our body to eat food to boost our immunity especially while we are staying home but we cant replace testing.

Hopefully we get a cure soon though.

I partially agree with you, but the nations where it stood successful are,....

Less population, follow-up strict orders - Kanoon, first world countries ( even, at one time, poor SK had improved its GDP ( after Korean war ) and rank, life expectancy age and all, a lot ...)

Sure, testing helps a lot to isolate the required-needy and curing procedure in particular humans, quarantining the right ones only,.... ( Hey, but what about the Virus already out there on Railings and common press buttons and surfaces,... you still can't allow free run for all Corona negatives ! ( Also,.. when India says 3 feet apart distance than 6 feet ( West ) , it also knows its space limitations over the road's length and width availability.... In a non-following order nation, , for such a fast spreading contagious disease, nation with crowds and carods of refugees on the roads and expensive test kits, how far it is wise to consume them all ( Kits ) over all street persons,.. ( whom we even do not know, that by the time, the test results come , they will already have infected, who were negative before ... ) Hope, few simple and inexpensive kits out like Litmus pregnancy test,.. etc , can be the only solution,..... if concerned over testing and testing,...

Also just came to know the symptoms also now changes its colors now,... ! Antibodies also plays its game by giving tricky results, as due to the antibodies developed by the body, the tests have started coming positive, untruthfully,...

I think once the cure/vaccine or say,..at least 60-70% effective working medicines are out,. it will over-shine and superseded the testing, as now we have cure rather,... hence, who shouts of having infected with proper signs and symptoms , we give all attentions to them,... rather than testing all 130+ million lots, and while properly following lockdown, the virus out there on surfaces must have died by that time, from roads, railing, Bus-train-plane's seats and handles, ATM and elevator buttons and computer keyboards,..... etc.

Right now the COVID19 is all anyone can talk about. You're not alone if you feel overwhelmed or find yourself focusing on worst-case scenarios. So let's take a second, breathe deep and look at some of the positive things going on in these strange times.

Keep in mind that the pandemic is far from over and we should continue to play our part to look after ourselves and others. Here's how to protect ourselves from CV, how to prepare quarantine and how to keep our spirits up. Remember, there are many reasons not to sink into worry or fear.

In China, Singapore and other affected countries, social distancing played a big role in turning the tide. Acting early and following the advice is crucial, and we all have a part to play.

Scientists around the world are looking for a coronavirus vaccine. It's essential not to rush this process, and it will take months or even years to develop the vaccine and make sure it's safe. But the work has begun and some promising avenues have already been identified.

Pennsylvania biotech company Inovio is generating strands of DNA it hopes will stimulate an immune response.

Johnson & Johnson and French pharmaceutical giant Sanofi are both working with the US Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority to develop vaccines. Sanofi's plan is to mix coronavirus DNA with genetic material from a harmless virus, while Johnson & Johnson will attempt to deactivate SARS-CoV-2 and switch off its ability to cause illness.

Yes... there is a cure, let us wait for that medicine to come to our hands, until then let us follow the rules and help each other with compassion.

Many people are recovering from this dreaded disease, no need to fear, there is every chance to recover, for that, we must seek early care and medication. Report early and come out with a lively smile from the hospital. Life is waiting for you to invite you with both hands into this world again. Let us move forward with a ray of hope, with a helping hand, with love and bonding. Now, no religion, no party politics, only compassion and hope will take us into tomorrow. 😊

I don't get scared. But yeah I do feel there are too many informations.

Living aside China and Corea, my country was the most affected one, till yesterday we had 22170 deaths and this shit is not stopping.

Since 9th of march, some from 23feb (like my sister), we are in lockdown and sincerly I think we are going to stay in this situation till the end of june. I was talking about depression because I have few friends of mine who live in the most effected area by the virus and in the span of few weeks they've lost many friends and relatives and they don't want hear about this anymore because it depresses them. They just want a cure for it.

I believe that Chiana is kinda responsible for it and I think everyone knows it.

I also believe that almost all the countries and even the international institutions are trying to not talk about the origin of it, because, hoping that this is the real reason, they first want to find a vaccine and they will handle the issue related to the origin later

IF this is the reason I can even understand, because they don't want to start a war right now. I'm not against chinese people, because my neighbors are chinese and I can see fear in their eyes too.

there r too many information coz everyone here want to share things they saw ,heard and read.

I empathise with all the people who lost their loved ones ..this is the most painful thing ..

My area is one of red hotspot so I too feel the trauma. Lot of depression is there in most of the people .All are worried for elders. Our fun filled life is lost ,earning lost so we too a kind off sailing in the same boat .By God grace there is no death spread like in European nations and I do pray aisa ho bhi na. With second largest population and not much medical resources u can very well estimate what could happen here if it spreads more ..

All i Wish and pray corona ends soon from the world .its further destruction stops .

Enough destruction has happen so many lives lost so no war ...u r correct in saying vaccine first ..

Many countries r not saying anything to China as they r dependent on them for medical supplies .

Till now Japan has made the best decision to move their companies from China.

China do need a lesson otherwise it will keep on playing with the lives of people .by China here I particularly mean their president shi jinping.

Police also isn't helping and plus the ones who are entertaining such patients are saying that tests are taking too long to be done and the results too come in late.

Police is also allowing non-essential factory to work saying they got police authorization and calling hundreds of workers despite there being a lockdown.

if non essential factory is open in your area u can complain to MLA or Councillor of your area ..they will take action against the factory .local doctors are not available and in hospitals doctors are not attending patients ..

Some interesting history, recognizing the woman who was the first to image a coronavirus back in the 60s.

June Almeida

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-52278716

The woman who discovered the first human coronavirus was the daughter of a Scottish bus driver, who left school at 16.

June Almeida went on to become a pioneer of virus imaging, whose work has come roaring back into focus during the present pandemic.

Meanwhile in Maharashtra and Rajasthan they've started giving hydroxychloroquine to people and police personnel as preventive measure.

Results

The unadjusted prevalence of antibodies to SARS-CoV-2 in Santa Clara County was 1.5% (exact binomial 95CI 1.11-1.97%), and the population-weighted prevalence was 2.81% (95CI 2.24-3.37%). Under the three scenarios for test performance characteristics, the population prevalence of COVID-19 in Santa Clara ranged from 2.49% (95CI 1.80-3.17%) to 4.16% (2.58-5.70%). These prevalence estimates represent a range between 48,000 and 81,000 people infected in Santa Clara County by early April, 50-85-fold more than the number of confirmed cases.

Conclusions

The population prevalence of SARS-CoV-2 antibodies in Santa Clara County implies that the infection is much more widespread than indicated by the number of confirmed cases. Population prevalence estimates can now be used to calibrate epidemic and mortality projections.

Oxford researchers are saying that they will be testing vaccine not on 50 people but 500 to 1000. And that the vaccine may be ready much earlier.

..said she was “80 percent confident” that the vaccine being developed by her team of researchers would work and would become available to the general public in about five months.

I'm very skeptical. 80% confident ? We don't have an AIDS vaccine after decades.

I don't know about different RNA. How is it possible? Flu shots every year to adult people too? I don't remember Indians getting any vaccine after age 5. Still the kind of foods, soups and spiced black tea we have may have a part in increasing our immunity. Many people from Western and European countries can't handle teekha snacks and foods but we are used to them.

flu shots r given to adults every year in Europe coz of the cold climatic conditions i got this information from my uncle.

The taking in of different species can be one of the reason for our immunity but I still feel environment plays a bigger role .

Every country has their own food habits and so does india .India is the only country where u can get a lot of variations in food habits .we eat food according to climate ,religion and traditions so it definitely helps us.

Don't worry about the recession .every country who is fighting against corona will have this issue ..government definitely will find some measures to curb it down
