Raju was a hit. Let us say you're right it was average. An unknown director and 2 unknown actors gave an average 🥰. Good for them.

Even someone wilfully blind cannot claim Deewana and Baazigar were anything less than hits.

I actually said clearly Yash Chopra was not made by Sri or SRK 🤣. Nor were they made by him.

Actually, YRF has clear cut history of working only with those who have already made it.

For a banner to make a star, 1. He has to launched by them or 2. Give hits almost exclusively by them.

Forget about being made, SRK's hits didn't even start with them.

Yeah, SRK made it on his own. Post Darr, Yash Chopra has not given hits without SRK.

But I guess we all tend to like those who we connect with in some way. The black buck killer and scourge of the homeless has many fans in India and abroad.

They are all maha chutiyas and their fans are bigger idiots.

Subsequently, he had Karan Arjun which was also huge. Kuch Kuch Hota Hai was not Yash Raj, and Dharma was in the red at the time.

YRF and SRK had their benefits off each other, but SRK is completely self made. Yash Raj deffo didn't make him.

If SRK was not in Darr movie might got average result, its Shahrukh Khan performance that made it a Hit, thats a reason they approached him again for DDLJ

And SRK made Dharma otherwise Dharma is loopochu but yeah KJo also did good job

Arrey, that's what I was trying to say. My 1st post in this thread actually said Yash Chopra was a big name before Sri or SRK. Then came the claim SRK was made by YRF. I mean, really! How many diff directors has the man given hits with? If there are two megastars in Bollywood today who are completely self-made, they're Amitabh Bachchan and SRK (there might be others, like Akshay, but not at the same level).
