Could it be a budget issue. Both Ashish & Shivin are quite costly. Obviously they cant shoot without Jen so Jen+Ankit helps optimize the cost??

I don't think that was the problem. May be they wanted to shoot all Vikram's past and Maya's interaction scenes at once and in the mean while the shutdown happened . So even if they plan to shoot with leads they might've lacked time . We can clearly see how they dragged these episodes by adding old scenes and FBs . Also the duration has been reduced to 17-18 mins. I hope everything will be back to normal once they resume the shoot

That was more of Sony strategy I think. They managed to stretch the shows to 1.5weeks while star & zee stopped new episode from last week. That's why ye rishta & ye rishtey are not in online trp charts
