how Is this going to play out ? Isn’t there going to be a backlog? Can they really keep pushing and delaying project.

It looks like Apri and May are a write off and already we have:

Angrezi Medium - will re-release

Baaghi 3 - will re-release

Sooryavanchi

83

Gulabo Sitabo

Ludo

Gunjan Saxena

Cookie No 1

Girl on the train

Shakuntala Devi

Laxmi Bomb

Radhe

By the time June comes we would have a backlog

Of 10 films (maybe more if we count smaller films).....

How is this all going to work 😕

There will be clashes. Movies that had a late 2020 release date will now have a early 2021 release.

Some movies should really be sold to digital platforms right now. Angrezi Medium would be perfect for Netflix or Amazon to air right now.

Other than Sooryavanchi and 83. The rest of the movies should come out digitally.

They can even release it on YouTube and charge a fee to watch it online.

I just don’t think it will be possible to delay everything and given the economy - clashes won’t be a good idea either

All the film productions have been halted. So there is not gonna be any true backlog. Everything just shifts by 3-4 months.

Question is will theatres re-open? China has already shut theatres again and Japan finally shut them down. Who knows.

Films lined up till June/July have completed the shooting/editing

Unedited films are still being edited during the lockdown.

Yeah but the films for Aug-Oct are not going to make their release dates. They won't be able to commence shootings again till June. Once the death toll stacks up, actors are not coming out of their homes. Some of them have been locked up in there since late Feb.

I think the industry will pick up where it left off. simple. Produers are going to weigh out when to release their films. If they dont want to clash, they will postpone till next year. I think most films will be released next year. Films may be postponed, but so have shooting schedules. So the films that were supposed to be shot for this year and released next year are not happening.

These are the only big movies that have got postponed ..The remaining movies are small ones that should be postponed or get ready to be crushed by biggies!
