^^ I think Crime Patrol shows several such real life incidents of people losing sanity at being rejected. Also Anjaam is a Movie entirely based on SRKs lust for Mads and what all heinous things he did when she rejected him. So lust can be a powerful motivation.

true , Vikram lusted in her and when she rejected him he became insane. This is the story they took from Anjaam.

Vikram wasn't rejected, Maya didn't reject him, she betrayed him, both are different cases

Lust had nothing to do with what SRK's character did in Anjaam, it was his ego as it was MJ's ego.

Sorry don't agree. Srks character was enamored and driven by lust. Obviously her rejection hurt his ego also. You cannot segregate the two.

And running away on wedding night is a rejection.

You don't have to agree with me

Lust and Ego are two very different feelings, of courses you can segregate the two, as far as I am concerned I don't see lust as a bad thing, people do desire each other, they are sexually attracted towards each other, not every relationship you share has a foundation of love, sometimes its just love, what is your definition of lust?

Running away on wedding night is not a rejection, she accepted his proposal, she married him, rejection would have been saying NO to marrying him like she rejected MJ's flowers which hurt his ego, what Maya did to Vikram was use and throw, betrayal

Vikram lusted after her and she rejected him, he went mad

That did not happen

Maya married him and left him, she didn't reject him, Madhuri rejected SRK's character, she didn't marry him, two very different stories and characters

If lust was not a bad feeling wrt this show & track, why did Vikram become a psycho? And all he wants is to sleep with her😆

And what is running away on wedding night then? Implicit rejection

And obviously there is not going to be any agreement on this between us per usual.

I asked your definition of lust, according to me Vikram's case wasn't lust so them writing this track is your opinion not mine, I have specified in my original post that Vikram's track for me is a way to show side effects of revenge. My definition of lust is very harmless, Vikram is a mentally challenged, a psycho who doesn't flinch while killing people, Lust is too small an emotion to be associated with someone as crazy as Vikram.

Rejection is not wrong, what Maya did to him was not mere rejection, she led him on purposely, married him and left him, she had every right to reject him but she did not

Your views are not very clear for me to understand, agree or disagree. Your definition and interpretation of lust and rejection is different than mine and we can't see each others perspective as we are talking about two different things. ✌️

My interpretation of lust is clear, in a romantic relationship love & lust coexist but when lust alone is the purpose of a relationship like in Vikrams case, rejection leads to degeneration of a person like Vikram. Also it's canon that Vikram is in it only for lust. Maya herself said what Vikram has is "hawas"

His track was brought for several reasons- add thrill to suffice the new timeslot, to defer the MayRa face off and ultimately the final Maya-MJ showdown. From story perspective it had no relevance since barring a connect to Mayas lost years & MJS creation, Vikram not having anything to do with MJ and killing off Rajeev-Nandini coz of him makes no plot sense. Albeit we can say karma for Rishis death looking to the way in which Nandini died. But no wonder the fallen ratings.

Vikram's case seems like the Maanvi-to-Maya scenario. He seemed like a genuine guy in the fbs... but turns into this psycho after he realizes Maya had taken advantage of him.

The entire thing seems like a domino-effect with MJ, Maya, Vikram, and even Rishi and Rudra all affecting and being affected by the other. MJ sets things off by creating a Maya out of Maanvi. She passes the baton by creating this psycho out of Vikram. She also causes the death of an innocent Rishi. She gets it back by losing her memories, being captured by Vikram and losing her mother and Rajeev in the process. Vikram gets it back by being cheated by Maya once again, being posioned and finally leading to his death.

It's interesting how all these characters are caught up in this web of revenge; some of their doing like MJ and Maya and some not of their doing like Rishi and Rudra.
