@bold- PREACH!
I completely agree. For me, Kunal's redemption is at 0% currently. He has done nothing to make up for months of horrible behaviour. He behaved disgustingly with Kuhu. If I were Kuhu, I would leave. Since it's a show, she should at least make him suffer. Men just get away with SO much. Honestly, I didn't expect Kuhu to take all this. Frankly, her staying for her 'family's sake' is regressive because she put her family's happiness over her self-respect which is ITV's favourite reason as to why a girl doesn't leave her lying husband. The whole "Main tumhe chhod deti par kyunki meri family involved hai, main nahi jaaungi". The only empowering thing Kuhu's done is setting up her event management company đŞ
@journal- I have been watching those scenes too and it's really painful seeing Kunal treat Kuhu like that đ He is so mean. He said that he doesn't love her and told Abir that their wedding day was the worst day of his life. đ
Thank you Meera, Ria, and Clarity your posts. It sums up exactly how I feel about Kunal character and his non-existence redemption arc. Kunal has shown absolutely no remorse for what he has done and I find that disturbing. The kind of mean things he called Kuhu was unacceptable ( he called her desperate remember?) I get that his character is not the most the expressive one and he is shy but a simple sorry would have made their story so much better. I was not expecting him to write a sayari for him or plan an elaborate date to apologize to Kuhu. I know that that is not Kunal's style but can't he even say sorry to Kuhu for what he put her through? Kuhu took him back way too easily. He has no space for marriage in his life and sadly for Kuhu he never will.

He probably bored the hell out of her by talking obsessively about his bhai and maa. It might be the reason Shweta ghosted Kunal đ
Lesson #1:

at a sangeet when you have just been told your mom is a manipulative b...burger
OMG that caption !! đ¤Ł
I mean what else can you do when you find out that your mom is a burger? 𤣠Dancing at your almost fiance's wedding seems like the right choice of action at a moment like this

I have to disagree here. Yes, he has done a lot of mean stuff but he has shown remorse and apologized to Kuhu, just not enough times.
Aur issi baat pe ek aur VM dekho for all the "am sorry" scenesđ

DITTO
He has been expressive with his anger, why not with his apology or affection? He has been ultra-mean to Kuhu. Him not being expressive or being shy is not an excuse to not apologise or make up for his behaviour. We have all seen how he can be when he feels his Maa or Bhai are angry. He does everything in his power to earn their forgiveness. Also, post the second wedding, he hasn't made any extra effort to make up for what he did.
IDK if we will ever get the redemption arc we want. Watching the first wedding episodes just makes my desire for a redemption arc stronger. Also, with the way he spoke to her at the resort, he is actually making things worse. This is just not acceptable behaviour, as you said. I want Kuhu to find her backbone and fight for her self-respect.

Then Shweta must have been like, 'MOVE ON, KUNAL!'. Uske baad Kunal move on karta hi reh gaya

I know. Maybe Kunal wanted a Parul Tikki Burger but got a Maharaja Meenakshi instead. Life mein problems hoti hai.
Ek toh IDK why they did that whole ex-fiance to bhabhi crap. So icky.
@aqua- Uss VM ko dekhke mere dil pe padi thandak. I will watch this VM more âď¸
The thing is, Kunal's 'apologies' so far don't fit the magnitude of his crimes. Since he continues to not treat Kuhu very well, the apologies come off as being even more hollow. I really hope the writers do better once the break ends.

Pihu let's agree to disagree on this đ¤
This VM and Ritvik's style of saying " I am really sorry Kuhu" is so cute that it almost makes me forget all the things that Kunal's character did. đ
But as Clarity mentioned, the sorries in the video are not really enough for the magnitude of his mistakes.
It's like Kunal burned down Kuhu's house on purpose but he is just saying sorry for destroying Kuhu's Louboutin, which he didn't know was inside that house. đ¤Ł
I have to agree with you guys. I don't think a "sorry" and quick getting over the past cuts it. We are yet to see a change in his attitude towards Kuhu. I can't remeber who mentioned it but most of the times he's rolling his eyes at Kuhu or giving these looks which suggests that Kuhu is just a nuisance for him. There are moments where he genuinely adores her but they are few and far between. Plus those snide remarks! How does he not realise that they are shitty things to say to your wife in front of everyoneđĄ(It pisses me off that Kuhu doesn't give Kunal it back like she used to - I am so friggin miffed just thinking about it! đĄ). It's hard to be convinced that Kunal is there for Kuhu.
After watching the last episode, we saw a very sorted Kunal trying to talk to Kuhu which is a positive change but the way he handles her is still very rigid. He doesn't know how to handle her counterargument and gets miffed. And this conversation is to keep the peace between the four - for his brother, I assume. We've yet to see Kunal acknowleding Kuhu's feelings and emotions.
Kuhu is partly to blame because all she ever does is b**ch about Mishti, lately. I wonder if she thinks talking about the family is the only way Kunal will pay heed to what she's actually saying. Warna toh he only sees her through the "rainbow", family function planner, RV bahu lens.
Either he learns to get to her level or she gets her head in gear and puts her foot down.
What really ticks me off his how KuKu is tangled in the leads drama. I want the writiers to #keepitseparate. I know it's important to move the story forward but for KuKu fans like me, it makes watching KuKu scenes exhausting!
