Akki has been donating since ages, so I don't get this since BJP is there hence Akki is donating thing. It has mostly to do with Reshma being his new manager who always highlights Akki's philanthropy nowadays.

Why is every star announcing their amounts? No way the average middle class person can donate anywhere near this amount. Just talk about donations to encourage the general public to donate and leave the amount to your accountants.

If Akki was really about the tax cut, for years guy has been donating, and still has been the among highest tax paying individuals from celeb field in the country since years. And not just in BJP governments, even with the previous government.
