But there is a hardly any chance for them or any other actress mentioned here in bollywood as Bollywood is an ageist industry.

All these actresses are all past their "prime" according to Bollywood standards and that is the case with almost every tv actress.

By the time they attain stardom on tv they are already in their late twenties or early thirties.

Radhika was able to break through because she had age on her side. Same with Mrunal.

I landed here due to boredom of Quarantine😆.

And yes I watched MJHT and Hitler Didi. Skipped Porus because I have little to no interest in historical shows. MJHT was heart man. That show increased my interest in cheesy Youth shows of India.

Out of all the actresses you mentioned.

I used to think Pooja was going to be a BW actress after Mahabharata. She was hot, could speak good hindi ( rarity in today's bollywood) and was a decent to good actor. Don't know what happened to her.

Aditi- BW is not the industry for her. They would typecast he into indie movies or supporting characters. Not that it's a bad thing but she will not get the hype she deserves. I think it's better to be protagonist in a show than being a side character in a movie. But that's just my opinion.

Rashami - I adore her man and would love to see her in BW movies but as I said she doesn't has age on her side. She would be stuck in roles which Ankita Lokhande is being offered (Manikarnika and Baaghi 3). I would rather watch her in a limited series on Television. There is a dearth of good actresses on tv and she has the TRP pull to make unconventional topics work. Would love to see her in a role of successful designer/lawyer/editor mentoring a young actress with no romance drama. I think it would make for a great watch.

Yes. Pooja's hindi diction is sooo clear & soothing to ears. Her performance as Draupadi and it's impact is everlasting and unprecedented. It's the best performance I've ever seen on TV.

I watched MJHT last year. I'm yet to finish it tho but I've followed Hitler Didi from start to end (I still dunno why did I continue watching the bull crap they shoved down our throats after the leap 😆 I guess my love for Rati & Indira too).

Porus wasn't bad. Rati was terrific although supporting but a pivotal role. But you said you watched Mahabharat right? It was historical too. 🤔

Rati's terrific at body language acting too. In Hitler Didi the way she captured Indira's mannerisms, her posture, Hitler pose and her hands around her arms. Great stuff.

Btw were you a religious follower of Hitler Didi? Did you watch it till the end? if not then when did you stop watching? I was a vivid watcher of HD till the last episode of pre-leap. I was so mad at the CVs & I'm still salty asf for tarnishing Rishi's character and his love for Indira post-leap. They ruined a great show and lovestory of Indira-Rishi just due to their greed for TRPs and dragging the show with unwanted tracks just to stretch & increase episodes. InShi were literally my favorite on-screen pair back then. 🥺 I was heartbroken with the way cvs progressed the story after they made that lahorewali as real Indira 😫

Yeah. I'm seriously bored of romance genre on TV. As repulsive as Silsila was but the main backdrop of that show wasn't heavily focussed on lead pair romance. It was something different from the usual ITV stuff & obviously that show gave us MAULI and we got to know Aditi through that series.

I'm quite disappointed to see Rashmi in Naagin 4 😭 I so agree with you.

I Liked Alisha panwar in ishq me marhawan she was great as docile arohi and the psychopath Tara.

I cannot help but compare her Tara with Jennifer's Maya and I find Alisha to be better than Jennifer, the rage, aggression, body language and expressions she did it so well.

I liked Jennifer in beyhadh initially but after some time she started portraying it like ridhima which I hated

I also watched Panch on Hotstar and Ioved both Rashi Mal and Sheetal Singh both got snubbed at the awards ceremonies IMO.

I also liked sasural me genda actor ragini khanna suhana was such a different character at that point.

My Fav is not doing anything so my entire focus is on Indian TV now

Sana sayyad was quite good in divyadrishti. Very impressive performance despite being a newbie.

Speaking of which,Rati pandey had done a cameo in divyadrishti as divyadrishti 's mom..only for 1 episode but left a huge impact ..so much that it remained throughout the show.

I haven't watched Hitler didi or mjht but she mighty impressed me in divyadrishti..stellar performance!

Drashti is so overrated..she can only do one type of role..the damsel in distress though she did justice to the role of a selfish home breaker in silsila..but paled in front of powerhouse aditi.

Others:

Pooja sharma:was effective as draupadi..decent actress..wonder why she or paridhi sharma(who played jodha in jodha akbar) didnt get more shows ?pooja along with very few actors were the saving grace of sp mahabharat.

Rashami:have watched her in uttaran..no one can play a vamp like her.and she plays positive roles..anyday better than the overrated actresses like drashti or erica or DT .

I agree with u .khkt was so overrated..dipika was overacting like anything. It was such a headache.(the initial few episodes were promising but quickly became disappointing kitchen politics. )

Dt..divyanka was good as ishita in the beginning..but then she became so monotonous 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️and irritating. Was disappointing to see her win every award out there for her monotonous portrayal.

Another overrated actress is shivangi joshi..who plays naira..gosh!one note actor..shrieks everytime ..hams like anything..honestly hina khan did a far better job as akshara.

When did erica become top actor😆?her dialogue delivery..I guess everyone agrees. And she is a very very average actor.the male lead,the actors playing his mom,sister and aamna sheriff who now plays new komolika acts in circles around erica..they all are quite good.

The overrated ones according to me:Jennifer winget (yeah it's an unpopular opinion but she is just okayish and gets way more praise than she deserves),shivangi joshi/naira,drashti,surbhi chandna,DT,helly shah (gets a new show every 3 months but disappoints every single time),the lead of yjhjk..looks pretty but acting🤦‍♀️.

Sriti jha is quite talented but is stuck with kkb..early in her career..she had portrayed a girl with dual personality and nailed it!has talent.

Sanaya has good comic timing and is a better actor than drashti..but aajkal overacting bahut karti hai aisa suna hai.she was quite good in her most famous show on sp.

Surbhi jyoti..is better than the overrated ones.knows her craft..works hard and was quite impressive as in wide range of roles a modern city girl,timid cook,naagrani,and a mythical princess. Talent hai.

P.S I'd still say..all the actors I mentioned..even the overrated ones can do a far better job than the talentless plastic nepo kids being forced down the audience's throat ..(yes,including the overrated alia ..meryl streep seriously😆!)

I have said this before. I thought it might create controversy but it surprisingly didn't. I think most tv actresses are prettier than star kids. About the acting I think if any Bollywood actor/actress had to work with such terrible scripts and directions, not to mention characterization that changes to the tune of the trp ratings, not one would be able to give a consistent performance no matter how talented they are.

I find Jennifer to be a good mixture of acting talent, looks and she is even a decent dancer. I agree she gets more praise than she deserves. But she may have aged out already. Mouni Roy I thought was one of the worse choices to go into movies. She is wooden to the point (something seems to be off about her).

Sriti Jha and Aditi are the more talented ones. But they are on the plainer end. But who knows? Aditi did give bollywood a try but failed.

Mahabharata is mythological. And I watched it because my parents love to watch any version of Ramayana or Mahabharata.😆

Hitler Didi , I used to follow religiously till *that* leap happened. Something always go wrong usually on ITV shows post leap. I hate them for that because they take away from the core of the show. Rishi was the man wasn't he?😳. In a time when every male lead in tv shows was going angry young man route he was something different. And they did him so bad.

AalishaPanwar- Ishq mein marjawaan one? I haven't watched the show. I tend to avoid colors fiction shows. They are sometimes too regressive fory taste. I even followed Silsila after it ended on voot.

What do you suggest, is the show any good?
