One thing I can’t bear of Sana’s and I have said this in my private chats, is Sana calling Sidharth, Sidharth Shukla or Shukla. Just as I have felt like slapping Sidharth whenever he threw filthy words at her, I always felt like slapping her whenever she said his entire name out loud, especially when as a taunt. And he wouldn’t bat an eye at that!
For quite some time I didn’t get my strong reaction to this and then I realised that I belong to a cultural context where we attach “brother” to the names of our husbands or even call them just brother as a mark of respect when they are elder to us. In my grandmother’s generation, taking husbands by their name too was considered disrespectful and that still goes in many interior quarters of India. So to call older husbands by their full name or just surname, especially in anger is still like a big no no in my head. Feels insulting to their stature and position in our lives. And this is what triggered me and I realised Sana came from a dysfunctional home in many ways and social and personal etiquette is something she will learn along the way under Sidharth’s patient guidance. He is surely her all- mentor, guide, father, mother, brother, husband... everything. Touchwood.
Ofcourse there are things Sidharth too will have to work on when he loses his temper, but that’s not my point here :)
this I agree, even I didn’t like when she addressed him as Shukla and even during thr episode when Salman asked how long have you been married for! She has this habit of calling him Shukla or sidharth Shukla and I feel very uncomfortable! But will Sid ever tell her that it’s not right? 🙄. I doubt, this man guides her for many right and wrongs to her, but a man who said it’s ok you can hit me or slap me even after Salman saying it’s not looking good on screen will stop her from calling him Shukla in fit? Never

Sid was darling in that episode. Sid pe saara bill phata uss din. Log self respect ki baat karte hain. Sid me ego ki baat karte hain. Sid that day didnt show any ego. Jo sana bol rahi thi maar rahi thi, he allowed her cos he understood she was in so much pain.
He was shown how sana slapped him. He laughed and brushed it off. Contrast it to how vishal and paras took it from . Their resp partners. U will see the diff. The man who pushed asim when he used to just touch him did nothing when sana hurted him.
Not many men wld have taken a beating on national tv so lightly. Even when he was scolded for taking sana beating so lightly, he defended sana that she hurted himself cos she felt guilty for hitting him. Then lightly accused Salman.
Sana cld have suffered a lot more insult and even slaman was hell bent on labeling her as kind of psycho but sid defended her pretty well.
Even sana wldnt have been able to defend herself so well. He really understands her very well. As I have said many times ,sid has done a phd on sana😆 .
