4 years of Kapoor and Sons

Kapoor and Sons is one of my favourite movies. It features a dysfunctional family, but the way it treats their idiosyncrasies is gentle and poignant. Each of the characters are sketched out believably and they all lend gravitas to the film.

Good drama. Ratna Pathak Shah and Fawad Khan were the best things about the movie. And I loved the ending.

One of my absolute favourites in recent years and severely underrated. Mind boggling that it came from Dharma. Shakun is talented! The brothers held the story together. The Rahul- Sunita confrontation when the secret is out was phenomenal. Fawad and Ratna were amazing in the movie.

Has gotta be the most realistic family drama to come out of mainstream hindi cinema.

Rishi Kapoor was a riot throughout the film ad brought the whole house down several times. Alia was impactful in a short underwritten part, Rajat Kapoor was soo effective. No need to write anything new about Ratna Pathak & Fawad all over again. Sidharth was the only misfit among such a talented starcast. Great film!
