Loving you was wild sweet and calm
loving you was sunshine, moon and dark
loving you had its consequence
The creaking voice of her footsteps was seemingly undelightful for Saudamini. She has been roaming around with her heavy jewelry in the Roy Baadi, much to her discontent. "Annirudh!!" she yelled through her vocal cords , making the name sound much different. She walked across, trying to make sense where the baadi was taking her.It was all empty. She had not waited for her husband Yogesh Banerjee to come back to Tulsipur , a telegram was enough from her father to suck her back to the place. She turned corners, and finally decided to call the landlady of the house, the position she had aspired to take from years"BONDITA!!".
Her husband has been the richest man back in Calcutta. His power was unmatched, and she has been enjoying her life laced in velvets and riches - Bondita could just think off. Still there was something she could find so hollow inside her heart-the hollowness of defeat. She was not able to make up for her loss, she would not ever. "ANNIRUDH!" Saudamini screamed , getting annoyed with the solace which created such a wide difference from her messy mind.
Finally she caught a man standing in tight pants, standing by the window in a study full of books. If she could shiver on the sight - then it was Anirudh Roy Chaudhary.
"What did you do, Anirudh?" She hissed. "What the hell do you think you are?"Saudamini spelled venom.
Anirudh looked out of the window, as if having a meeting with the clouds- it was serious. "If you have come for your dad, Saudamini - then sorry..." Anirudh spoke up.
"Shut up Anirudh, I thought you were a nice man. You valued principles. You knew my father was selling indigo, since a long time..."
"Hey, Hey wait dear...He has been selling indigo "ILLEGALLY" for the longest periods of time."Anirudh moved across the table, shifting one of his heavy books like a feather.
"You knew it since eternity. But you sued him-like yesterday.Don't tell me your father did not earn any money from that."Saudamini heaved with a sigh of smirk. She looked at him for the longest time trying to decipher his expressions , as they changed into an amused one reading a leaf on his book. Anirudh's presence was so new in its aura, that she could not help but think if she was meeting a new man. "If you could see- and I guess you can, then go there, there is something laced in red." Anirudh pointed out a file to her. Saudamini looked on, furrowing her brows with nervousness.
Saudamini looked through the file again and again. She wanted to understand it , but all of it went in vain. But one thing was super clear to her - all of those were against her father.
"Saudamini, everybody is not as impulsive as you are. Seeing that it looks like a mountain summit to you for reading this parchment - it's simple. You shall find no evidence against my father. The judge is a happy man.Not much stress to be taken for making him bend my own ways. And as for the British, they are on a lookout for Indians breaking the laws. Your father seems to fill the category." Anirudh spoke, as he looked on the wall behind Saudamini. He thought about what Bhaumik might be doing lying on his bed; time and again checking his temperature.
Saudamini turned meek. Her hunched shoulders reflected her fallen confidence. Her lips quivered and then she saw Anirudh closing the windows."Don't shiver mini." He said with a smirk, addressing her with her nickname for the first time in eternity. "Save my father Anirudh." Saudamini pleaded.
"Do it once more mini" Anirudh demanded.
"Excuse me."Saudamini stood rooted to her place- flabbergasted. "Who are you?"She asked.
Anirudh walked past the study table and looked across a hidden cabinet. If she was not wrong he took out "Vitis delight" the imported or one must say an antique wine. "It's not always about showing the fake you, Saudamini , rather it's about hiding the real you." Anirudh filled his glass with the golden-red liquid.
"I can't believe this. you were the one to preach moral-shits into everybody's head, and now..." Saudamini couldn't complete.
"And now , I am the one going against the norm- you know what Saudamini, people like you have a range of a peanut. You would clap when you see the peanut going from red to white - because you never thought that there would be second cover." Anirudh completed , making saudamini go red from anger.
"Anirudh I would see you in the court"Saudamini yelled.
"Yogesh Banerjee , likes the poppy plant too much, he grows it in his back yard I guess.." Anirudh looked at Saudamini , stopped or rather paralyzed in her tracks. "If you get me out in my playground - the courthouse - then I would certainly pluck some opium from your husband's backyard. You should know that Humayun died of it once. A nice emperor maybe - but died in vain."
Saudamini looked flushed enough- to be called out for being a tomato. If Anirudh could count a second on his finger - then she really ran that fast.

Bondita looked at the whole scene.Obviously she knew what all was happening in Bhaumik babu's life. But what she saw minutes ago , was something she had never imagined in her nightmares. It was like a mystery novel - which abruptly took the least mentioned in suspect.
Her husband was sitting in his study like a lion in his den. How can somebody look equally desiring and dangerous?
"I heard everything." She stepped inside marking her territory.
"I know."Anirudh looked back at his book - as if Bondita had told him the time on the clock.
"Would you like to explain?" Bondita looked disappointed.
"You are a Barrister Bondita, not a judge - the last time I checked." Anirudh closed his book , flexing his muscles.
"No I am not a Judge, but right now I am neither a Barrister as well- just a wife." Bondita clarified. She had worn a red saree thinking that Anirudh would like it once they get back to their marital cot. But right now it was just a disturbance in a serious conversation.
"Hey don't say that...You could not stop being a Barrister ever.." he said with a smirk, making Bondita confused.
"Why , may I ask?" She folded her hands across her chest.
"Having a Barrister as your wife makes the idea sexier." He hissed in her ear , making her shudder.
"Oh just shut it Mister Barrister...What did you tell Saudamini?" Bondita tried concentrating her attention on the matter on hand.
"You said, you heard it.." Anirudh proceeded to wear a nightgown hanging on the chair.
"There is something new in this.."Bondita confessed.
"And you are liking it." Anirudh completed. He took the wine glass and gulped a few sips.
"I didn't say this..."Bondita stopped the glass in his hands, making him look at her.
"There is no point in being white or black , mishti - and to be honest nobody in this world has ever been this way. All of us are just grey. We just decide to be the lighter shade of it or be the darker shade." Anirudh looked at her with all the truthfulness.
"I don't believe this. You weren't like this before ."Bondita introspected.
"Evidence ?" Anirudh asked , laughing a bit.
"No, your honour."Bondita answered.
"Then listen my dear wifey - first of all yes , you were right I wasn't like this before. But when you, as a child bride came to my house - I realized something. You were the gold - nobody had ever tried to rub. You itched - for every answer. I know you were much brilliant than anyone out there. Honestly, I saw your older version much before you grew up. And then came my family. Everybody behaving like scoundrels. Like who expects cooking food from 8 year olds..." Anirudh thought in disgust.
'They were just being regular, Anirudh babu...." Bondita sighed a bit. Her family was very much indifferent to there development as Barristers. They titled them "Society-Dividers".
"Call me Anirudh the way you screamed it last night..." Anirudh husked it.
"Eh, it's unethical." Bondita blushed reminiscing some memories of what Anirudh talked about.
"Making love was never unethical dear..." He took the wine glass close to her lips , but she avoided.
"Vitis delight - isn't it?" Bondita looked at him - to which he nodded.
"I honestly loved what you did to Saudamini." Bondita clapped her hands in excitement.
"If you say, love - I could do much more." Anirudh complied with her wish.
"No, I won't like you spending much time with her anyway. If that counts for being jealous- then let it be." Bondita laced her hands across the wine glass. She siped up some liquid making a weird face.
"I don't taste this." She complained.
"You know that it numbs your taste buds for a while. There is a way of drinking it. Here from the sides of your throat." Anirudh moved his hands across her bare neck, rubbing them at her weak spot.
"Oh..Stop it. Not in the study." Bondita pushed him back.
Anirudh smiled at her lightly - before moving back to his place. Bondita ached at this. Making her a mess - Anirudh was retreating.
"Show me how it tastes- explain." she complied; acting weird.
" as you say, madame." Anirudh obeyed.
Bondita looked at him sipping large gulps from his glass. This was annoying her . But she was still flushed that he was approaching her fastly. Like a lion would do it his lioness. Oh my god, she loved him this way!
Anirudh looked at her red saree. It was dangerously adorable. The way Bondita's lips quivered in excitement - he could just think about the most relaxing and best things in the world. The solace in the mountains back in Scotland, the sun of his country - warm and full of fire.
He took the last sip, and this time before gulping it down his throat - he sealed his lips with his wife. Draining the golden liquid down her throat. Bondita could experience every flavor of the wine distinctly - the vine of black grapes, the gooseberries, sugar beet everything. But what she enjoyed the most was the new aroma of her husband - grey, cold and welcoming!

Anirudh will be soft towards Bondita, takes care of her, makes her educated but he did this not only because of seeing Bondita's ability and talent but... He always wanted to become a young founder/barrister to bring changes in law, he wanted his name to be scripted in books of laws for his achievements. He also wanted someone strong to become his voice over for his dreams that he saw in Bondita and thereby he decided to take responsibility of her education. But he loves her as his student, a good friend and special person in life provided he is greedy about his image, success and achievements too.
Past1
Hey dear how about a obsessive ani who doesn't want anything or anyone to be more pyaari to his Bondita than him and I also want to see his playful side were he makes fun of mini and teaches her a lesson for trying to separate his Bondita from him. And I also want you to describe about his evolving behaviour from a mentor to a possessive and obsessive husband of Bondita who can turn the world upside to have his wife by his side. U can also the age factor as the reason behind the evolving insecure feelings of ani or maybe the new friends of Bondita especially the male friends of hers in college
Alexia , Lalz , and Sujz - thank you too !!!
And a big thank you to my readers!
