Arre in Secret Obsession the husband of the main character is killed and the fake replaces him. That would translate to Rudra being killed by Vikram and Vikram taking that place.

That's the movie concept. It isn't mandate that they should copy every detail. They might use the narrative part but not the entire story. This show is based on Maya's revenge on MJ. Not about some random person's obsession. They can't take that risk. Ankit came for few episodes not for the entire show

Or I think it could be a part of the Maya's past. We never get to see who was Maya's saviour or how she became Maya Jaisingh.

This man maybe saved her and made up some story to make her Maya!

This memory loss maybe after what happened to her after MJ's murder attempt.

Even if that's the case, I cant put into alignment the events as when Maya regained her memories or how she got away from this guy?

Oh I know. That's why I said maybe. And I also wondered how they'll incorporate MJ into this. Because I doubt that they would copy a movie fully. They'll have to make their own changes to it to suit the plot of the show.

Even I feel the same, also maybe she regained memory after seeing MJ on TV or something😆, and escaping part, maybe thats how she met Rajeev?🤔

I also said the same in the other post. The story surely resembles like secret obsession. Yeh writers kabhi kuch innovative kar bhi sakte hain. 😵

So Beyhadh 1 got inspiration from Gone Girl, and now Beyhadh 2 got inspiration from Secret Obsession?

Or maybe the makers might have taken only wee bit inspiration from Secret Obsession. Maybe this husband/new character is planted by Rudra most probably. We cannot take his character lightly in view of his recent knowledge about Maya being responsible for Rishi's death.

Even if its an inspiration, the plot of Beyhadh2 seems way better than the first season. This is how a thriller should be (about further tracks), keep the audience guessing.
