Seems like it . But it could have another meaning. Maybe a different incident in his past for which he was framed by being unintentionally stuck in it. Maybe a fake assault allegation? Is he being blackmailed for that by another woman?

So his past hasn’t been revealed yet. I’m not sure if it’s about an ex-wife. Seems like he was involved in a really big mishap. He looked really scared in the board game. He’s asking for a second chance but for what? Maybe it is false allegations from his ex-wife but I’m not so sure now.
