T-series started to make movies since 1990. So why they are developing now? Erotic content was never that popular in Bollywood. It started when Sunny Leone entered in Bollywood with some adult movies in 2012 and after that, some producers made some erotic low budget movies with mostly TV actors. Almost all the HS series had TV actors. Now web series are making erotic content. I think T-series was popular long time ago. Gulshan Kumar used to produce some movies on that PH. That PH is mostly known for good music. Most of their movies run because of music but most of their story sucks. Zarine and Daisy could’ve get some movies through T-series but they both faded. Daisy did Race 3 after HS3 and Zarine did some B-grade erotic movies. Now they both faded. The other actresses that you mentioned don’t get the opportunities like Dharma or YRF.
Gulshan Kumar's T Series is very different than the T Series we have today. That time they were focussing solely on being a music label and producing a film now and then. Thats why they had the best music back then...Gulshan Kumar only signed people who were truly talented and gave them their creative freedom. In fact I heard from many people who were in their 20s in the 90s that T Series' first film (a tele film to be precise) was made AFTER the album released...only due to the music being a huge success. That was Lal Dupatta Malmal Ka.
T Series now is focussed on film production, mediocrity and monopoly. Producing increased after Bhushan Kumar took over. Now every second film is produced by them. So they were emerging as a production house till the time YRF was no 2...then they also messed up their own game...making T Series second to Dharma. They were always producing but they weren't known for that until the last few years where everything T Series related has sky rocketed.
Agree with ur points on erotic films tho. Otherwise Bipasha wouldn't have lasted so many years if there was an option of webseries back then. Taking TV actors reduces their budget. Also many TV actors are desperate for movies so they agree to do erotic content. Sunny Leone gave a push to it but today even she has moved to streaming platforms.
Imo Zarine got type casted coz her biggest "hit" where she was super prominent was HS3. Daisy ended up going back to Salman's camp thats why she did Race 3. But due to getting type cast, Zarine ended up with movies like Aksar 2 that followed the same formula as HS 3. But by that time, the audience had evolved and moved on to web series and streaming.
The other actresses would not get into YRF because its super tough and elite...you needed to fit a certain type (till Yash Chopra was alive...now its just messed up) and Dharma toh well...its nepotism ki dukaan. No one would get thru unless they had contacts, any type of influence or were insiders post 2010
