Another thought struck me today.
If you analyse Sid's childhood stories and upbringing, he was a receiver in relationships. Receiver of love, protection and affection. He has stated this many times, in his interviews as well as to Asim. With this sort of dynamics comes a sense of entitlement. You receive as if its your right.
Shehnaaz, her childhood stories are about how she did things for her relatives. She was a giver in relationships but often saw that not being recognised. And that means you extend empathy and love without laying any conditions. You give without any expectation.
This relationship is also a reversal of roles. Its a new way of experiencing love for them too. Sid becomes the giver and Shehnaaz becomes the receiver. And you see them exalting in those roles. Sort of brandishing to the world that we are capable of this too.
