Bondita's education

Bondita asks so many questions. Didn't she ever ask why she doesn't go to school or is not able to read and write. I was wondering if it didn't occur to her that the little boys in her village go to vidyalay and she doesn't

And was it a norm that time that girls don't study or just that her family is not well to do that's why they didn't send her to school? But mini is shown to be educated

rich people used to make few girl study but maximum girl don't have that privilege even being rich as some men or society create norms that girls/ women if learn things or get an education then it will be sin for them so ...

but wish along with many questions one day bondita will ask this ....

Maybe she will ask something along these lines if she sees batuk studying or something to ani , and ani may think of enrolling her to school and educating her

I think being surrounded by those books in the study, Bondita's curiosity might struck up and she'll question about it to Ani. Ani in return might decide to teach her at home or sending her to the school.. 🤔

I think he will send her to school only, he may help her at home with studies and also teach her a little at home. As deciding to send her to school will create more drama in his family😆 and i want bondu to have a normal childhood, going to school, making friends etc, if she has any problems there ani may guide her

I have heard from my grandmother that before independence people didn't support girl's education. Stones were thrown at her when she walked to school everyday. Other boys teased her and her siblings a lot. They made her life hell in school.

Really? This seems scary, but glad your grandma was sent to school and educated despite all this. I guess we are lucky to have been born in this era

Girls were rarely sent to English schools. Getting married at 8-9 and then in some houses they waited till first period to send her to husband but most did not . Some dads educated their daughters at home. I have heard from my nanu that she cleared the admission test of a good school but was not allowed to go.
