Did you feel something disturbing after watching the movies, cos i felt it esp when the girl(my fav character) is stabbed...The entire movie had like 5-6 main scenes and mostly it was execution of those scenes that made up an entire movie..some parts were so unpredictable
So good you liked and your friend liked it...and yes hollywood lacks movies similar to parasite but india has made like n number of movies with all genre regarding social class,i even cried watching pariyerum perumal and asuran and wondered why these movies dont make it to international level, but you are right they lack exposure and indian cinema faculty has multiple times failed to send a good film to oscars
Bold...Yes, we were shocked...we had our mouth opened and our hands on our heart for that scene...it was brutal....previously when the brother asks his sister which room she wants to take in the house as she fits so well in this lifestyle, she says first get me this house and I will decide...and instead she has the worse fate...it was really sad....also if you see the poor family is no better when it came to helping another family who was lower to them (the first housekeeper and her husband)..the mother refused to help her and didn't like when the old housekeeper said we are like sisters...the mother was like don't put me in the same shoes...which was ironic...although they were poor, she had to show her power over someone who was even lower than her....they also hated the same power that the rich family was showing towards them... that was interesting....it's a statement that no matter which social class we are, we will always look down at someone who is lower than us....at the end the dad had a life that the wife looked down at...the house and the staircase leading to the bunker...it's a reflection that rich will be on the top and the poor will be at the bottom underneath them...The director stated he wanted everyone life to be at the same spot as it started...no change....also at the end, when the guy writes his plan to get his dad back...the viewers know it will never happen and it's just wishful thinking...the movie is deep if you connect the scenes, the house, the staircase, the bunker, the basement house.
