At the first I was ok with her justifying it coz I expected her to be a narcissistic psychopath with a twisted savior complex like Joe. Like he always justifies his murders and thinks he's doing it for love and sleeps like a baby at night with no regret or remorse. But even though he justifies it, the makers don't and the viewers get the right msg about what it actually is.

I thought Maya were like that. So I enjoyed her justifications expecting it to get more twisted with time and viewers realising that her justifications are just delusions of a psychotic mind.

I still believe that even her love for Rudy rises from her fairy tales obsessed, deluded brain.

Ita: exactly !!!! Give me some consistency dammit !!!! There are two characters in this show I don't even understand a little bit ---- one is Maya and 2nd is Amir.

I mean ek lamp post hi chahiye tha toh why did they take Hassan. So he must have some story of his own. Or else it's a total waste !!!

And Maya-----I don't get her character arc At All !!!!!

Super unpopular opinion but I actually liked Maya 1.0 because she had no regrets after killing and she was what you can call as a psychopath. she was extremely shrewd and didn’t have a moral compass (the burden on her to deliver and later the drag got boring but that’s another topic)

This trying to appease both the mentalities of “oh yes she killed him” and “how can she be different from season 1?” probably got to them,

Aamir... That one character I was hoping would turn the tables. Right from his introduction, I kept telling everyone that if they’ve casted Hassan so it might be a little meaty role. He can’t just be a “yes man”

I think the makers sorta tried to establish Mayra from their second or third encounter (her being okay with ONLY his touch)

So now when they had the past revelation in those abrupt flashbacks, it might throw a lot of people off. So they overcompensate it with driving home the point that MAYA HAS BEYHADH PYAAR FOR RUDRA.

MJS too has some insecurities. She did mention that she will kill anyone who dares to come between Mayra or turn Rudra love into hate. That is not a confident womans statement. Also she begged Rajeev never to mention Rishi coz she is sure Rudra will leave her if he knew the truth. Her insecurities primarily stem from dishonesty/half truths but nevertheless is an insecurity.

At the beginning, even diya was standing around but she has more to do now. same with Aamir I feel, he just stands around now but he will play a bigger part later on.
