@bold Actually, they have to walk side by side but our customs which was formed mostly by men, might have decided to keep it in their favour. In south Indian weddings (mainly tamilians), we take only 3 pheras that too women follows men. But in reality they have to walk besides each other to depict equality...
I was really happy when Abir recited that shayari of equality before taking the Pheras and that reminded of a quote "Don't walk in front of me because I might loose track, Don't walk behind me because I may not lead; Walk right beside me and be by best half".❤️
we always take number 3 very seriously because 1 round is for shiva, 2 for vishnu and 3 for bramha... Even in temples we need to go 3 rounds no less.
