But according to his IVs, he chosen this role cause KUNAL is (was) completely different character from AHAAN.. He's very complex, strong & layard character that's why he choose it .. Off Course makers described the character to him very appealingly to convince the actor even they did it with all the actors.. They never give them any hint before that what they'll do with their characters/story in future 😆 and Ritvik is a completely newcomer in this industry, he had No Idea ; how badly parallel lead characters are treated on ITV ; infact he never watched single ITV show in his life 😆 but after his debut he only watched his own show Tu Aashiqui !!!

I think Kunal's character is a great opportunity for any actor to experiment with their acting. Even for Ritvik, he has got to portray so many shades in this role and his acting has gotten so much better than his first show. The only problem is the way they developed or rather didn't develop this character. The character itself is really interesting but now I am worried that it will be limited to running around his Bhabhi and Bhai and his wife (whom writers have made to behave like a 5-year-old girl). I hope there is more to this character than that and writers at least try to write something interesting.

But even if Ritvik does not continue with this role, I am sure that he will have a great future if he chooses his roles carefully. He is a great combo of all the talent needed to succeed in ITV.

I may be being too idealistic but I'd say she shouldn't. I mean actors have to give so much of themselves in their field; I'd say don't just stick with it.

Then again, it's easy for me to say.

Okay, so I have to rant about Mishti's dialogues in today's episode. She's trying to tell Kuhu, everything worked out for you -- your husband loves you, your sasural loves you and now you're having a second wedding -- so my mistake (of stealing your papers) which doesn't count anyway because I didn't have bad intentions is totally cancelled out. Now be happy and get on board with my special day because I have it so much harder than you -- my mother-in-law openly hated me, she plotted to keep Abir and me apart and now I am entering that household. Why don't you stop complaining about your Karan Johar movie of a life and start sympathising with my real-life daily-soap?

But um, Mishti? Kuhu wasn't handed this KJo-directed life -- she started with exactly the same odds that you did -- in fact worse because she didn't even have Kunal's love and support -- and she worked and loved selflessly through some dark times to earn what she has in her sasural today. Plus, that love you're so proud of? The one that you're fighting for everyday, the one that makes everythine else seem irrelevant? Yeah, you wouldn't have that if Kuhu hadn't fought on your behalf and broken the communication barrier that you and Abir had so deftly constructed with your NishMish attacks and your impulsive, life-shattering truth revelations (still waiting for her to apologise to Kunal for this, btw). So maybe take a step back and understand that other people have real problems, and just because they were able solve them in a way that you wouldn't have chosen doesn't mean they got lucky. It may mean that *gasp* you were wrong/have something to learn.

Mishti is entirely missing Kuhu's point which is this: if you hadn't meddled in my affairs, and stolen my papers, Kunal and I would have quietly sorted out our problems and either privately called off the divorce or gone through with it. Today would have been all about you and Abir, and everyone would have gotten their happy ending, but that wasn't enough for you. You just had to drag my problems into the open and drag and the entire family through an unnecessarily traumatic experience and for what? Because you couldn't resist the urge to be the great saviour? As usual, our family cannot wait to smooth everything over and pretend like this never happened, but I am so done with you not facing consequences for your actions just because everyone is too scared of drama. You wanted to make today about me? Great! I'm totally on board and I will do everything in my power to pull focus. You messed up and I am DONE being complicit in this mission to protect you from the repercussions.

Mishti needs to understand that people are allowed to be angry with her for things she did, even if she didn't mean to hurt them. Impact over intention, or in simpler terms. "sorry doesn't make a dead man alive" 😆 BM and BP have seriously failed her in this department. They taught her to cope with people's anger by universally dismissing it as pettiness and immaturity, and believing herself above it all. That is why Mishti hasn't been able to build real relationships with any of the other members of the Maheshwari household (or even, I would argue, BP and BM themselves). In trying to compensate for her feelings of abandonment, and affirm that she was loved, BM and BP gave her the impression that she could do no wrong and she ended up with a sense of superiority rather than genuine self-worth. As a result, she's also left with a crippling fear that she'll be abandoned again if she does't live up to their image of her. It coule ba a genuinely compelling arc; I just wish the show would address it properly.

Wow !! your post is so bang on.

@bold : As a fan of Breaking bad, how to get away with murder and Dexter, which are shows with the main characters who are morally crooked, I agree with you 100%. For me, it is just about the journey of the characters and not their moral compass or "mahan"ness that makes me root for the character. Which I guess is the issue with ITV. The female leads look and act the same and it has been like this since the early 2000s when Ekta started making her K-serials. And anyone who does not fit in the definition of Adarsh beti or bahu is automatically a vamp. And if the character does not think FL is the best person in the world and worships FL's every move he/she is a negative character and should be hated. And I do not see this trend ending anytime soon and we will continue to see black and white characters in Indian soaps. It is sad because in reality most of the people are grey rather than black and white.

@Blue : I Agreeee !!! How do you write so well?? ❤️❤️❤️

Bruh, for real? I'm dead 😆 I don't think they realize that they can definitely get TRP for having a happy track here and there.

I feel like there would have been a lot more to this track if they had just put a little bit of effort into Kuhu's dialogues. Right now, they're purposely writing them to make her sound petty and immature, but if they spent a little bit more time on having her talk about everything she's been through and why she feels so upset and insecure, this track could be so much more enjoyable and thought-provoking. Plus Mishti's dialogues are also incredibly weak. I'm not at all pleased. Are these really the same writers that wrote the initial episodes of this show?

At this point, I'm just watching the episodes so I can read y'alls thoughts after (especially you, @sam!). I love, love, love the conversations that happen on this thread.

Also, random sidenote, Kaveri looks so so gorgeous. That girl can really pull off anything. I've really come to grow quite fond of her, probably more than any other actor/actress on this show. She's so bubbly and bright, and always has something optimistic and sweet to say if you watch her in her interviews and the BTS videos. I've even noticed that Ritvik finds her enthusiasm to be quite endearing. Plus, can we just appreciate how TALENTED she is?! Aaahhh now I'm fangirlingggg

Aah you see, that's where you're wrong. Do mandap ek jage pe hona apshagun niklega.

@bold: I don't think they're writing anything at all now! Kaveri is probably told to repeat the dialogue she had 2 days earlier. Paper aur ink kyun waste karein.

Frankly, I found their offscreen bonding a little awkward. They look more comfortable/proffessional now but beech mein thoda iffy lag raha tha. Ritvik comes across as a little volatile while Kaveri seems to be generally positive and chripy. If my obversation is right, I can so relate to Ritvik.

I'm quite a cynical creature so don't usually like people who are happy all the time unless I can see genuineness 😆. And Kaveri looks genuine 👍🏼 smiley36.

I don't mind how actors get on offscreen just as long as it doesn't affect their performance and chemistry on-screen.

@Nikki: I've literally only just started to watch HTGAWM. It's taking me time to get into it but I've a feeling I'm going to love it.

@sam: I know right! British and American shows and characters celebrate morbidity 😆.

Does anyone know if Indian Television is going through a bad phase right now? Financially and in terms of viewership? I mean, shows begin and end left, right and centre.

@bold: I observed this too. I think Ritvik is kind of moody and there was a period around their birthday where their interviews looked a bit awkward. They didn't even look at each other when giving interviews which I found really strange. I guess their personalities are completely different so it is understandable. But now their interviews look not so forced so they may be getting along well or maybe the interview was taken on a day when Ritvik was not feeling lousy 😂😂😂

Anyways like you said, off-screen chemistry doesn't matter if they are doing their job well on screen.

So I just want to say, keeping all the negativity aside, who is excited about the scene where Kunal burns the divorce papers and hugs Kuhu? I saw one of the BTS videos and looks like they will have a real conversation after their wedding. I hope it is not cut short and they at least get to finish their conversation this time.

I am excited about that scene and hopefully, Kunal will focus on Kuhu and not mention is Bhai and Bhabhi during that conversation.

Is that a scene that's happening? Hard to believe but I'm looking forward to it!
