Shahid really made us feel for a guy like Kabir Singh , carried the whole movie on his shoulder. He deserved the trophy for best actor .

RS deserved . Shahid had a performance to look and emulate so that was a disadvantage. One of the reasons why aamir ( ghajini ) didnt win over HR ( jodha akbar )

yushmann was not in the league of these two

🤣 This whole thread. Poor baby Shahid 😭 How sad 😂 How sad he didn't get awarded for a role that promotes violence and abuse. 😭 How heartbreaking 🥺

Anyway, nice. Enough of problematic men getting awarded for their shitty roles. 😆Finally Bollywood is shedding some misogyny atleast. Woke dikh ne ke liye ya otherwise, next time someone will rethink before romanticizing an abusive piece of shit and presenting him as a hero so it's WIN for women in cinema! Go home. Award nehi milega bhai 😂 Also bet no other director will ever say 'if you can't slap your love ones, that's not love' LOL.

but ATC, should awards for acting performance be given based on their performance or for what some people think the character supposedly promoted?

Dont get into it. This character promoted bad stuff never had moments of reflection or admitted wrong doing and still got a happy ending

Even as a fan I can say that but then again once the film is over I see it as just a film dont really use it in real life 😆

Does awards really matters ? Particularly for Kabir Singh...though I avoid watching those type of movies but let’s face the fact ki audience already awarded that movie and made it huge hit..so it doesn’t matter to director or dialogue writer ,who wrote those “slap the loved ones” whatever..

Some village idiots probably think the Academy endorsed cannibalism when they gave Anthony Hopkins the Oscar for The Silence of the lambs 😆.

I am not getting into anything, my question isn't about Kabir Singh's character.
