Sorry to break it to you. KHKT has unfortunately become a typical show with typical twists. The show is no longer any better from all other ITV shows. Let’s face it.

I began watching this show for Divyanka’s cameo. The light hearted scenes in the beginning kept me hooked which was a break from the over dramatic screenplay in the only other show I was watching then (YHM with body doubles in place of leads).

I don’t deny it. But the first 70 odd episodes were pure gold. But they hurried it with Raima track, then fast forwarded to wedding and wedding mein it was a complete circus and post wedding toh I have no words. I stopped watching the show after Suman reveals Naren’s truth before everyone. I couldn’t relate to it anymore. But still it was better than many soaps that are on air and probably in top ten. The makers should have been given a chance to rectify the blunder and bring it back on track. Coz if this show was ruined it was because of channel pressure and TRP race. If the makers had stuck to their original vision and given us the story they promised this show could have still ended at the same time but on a high note. The best part about the show was how realistic characters were but then they turned characters shady for no reason to introduce the drama element. First with turning Raima into a vamp. The girl who willingly gave up her love out of the blue started feeling insecure and did things that people who had known her for years couldn’t fathom she was capable of doing. Then u have a rich family with broad minded people where everyone is successful in their own right. But suddenly one of them turns negative. I am sure the writers who initially developed the story had no such plans for future tracks. It’s all coz of channel pressure and nothing else. The show had a niche audience and if only makers and channel had realised it was sufficient we could have had a show that would have been remembered for a long time to come.

All shows show crap only for the sake of TRP. No PH’s intention is to keep repeating the same shit with different actors. But if that is what is working, they don’t have a choice but to follow suit to survive.

Same has happened with KHKT. So I don’t believe in simply saying that this show is better than other shows while it is simply not true.

About the show regaining its lost flavour, is that even possible?
How will they redeem characters like Veena, Rohan, Tanya, Akash, Deepa and Pari?!
For all the crore wala love talks that Veena made, look at her now!
Women are like doormats here. Both Tanya and Veena don’t mind their husbands having affairs because it is always the mistake of the other woman and not their husband. They innocent husbands were seduced by gold diggers like Pari.
Veena and Sippy can’t see that Rohan is equally at fault in the EMA. For a show that is supposed to be different, such a treatment to EMA is not accepted.
Even in Sandiip’s YHM, Adi had an EMA with another women. There people blamed both of them. Ishita went to the extreme of killing Adi.
And here, they are showing that wives should always forgive their husbands.
Is this right?

About Nishi, how did this woman become negative all of a sudden. Never until now has Nishi given the impression that her love for Pooja was fake and all of this was for money. This overnight transformation is not believable.

And then we have this future technology of controlling pacemakers using smart phones with Nishi! Like seriously!
What new technology is this!
If Nishi had such a tech, why did she have to push Naren off the balcony? She could have simply used the app to kill Naren. Who would have ever found out? No logic here also.

And how has Nishi let Naren live? What if he recovers and uncovers her true identity?

Up until that point there was still some chance of setting things right. I was hoping Tanya would dump Rohan and Veena would take a strong stand. But here Pari was solely blamed which I don’t agree as much as I hate her character. About YHM, sorry that show was ruined beyond repair a long time ago. Ishita was treated like a doormat by Raman and his family countless times and they literally ruined the innocence of a child by making little Ruhi act like a dadi Amma. And the countless times Shagun turned good, then bad and good and the cycle continued endlessly I have read the book on which YHM was based and had I been the author I would have sued Ekta Kapoor for ruining such a beautiful story. The original story had believable characters but here they white washed Ishita and Shagun and Ashok were literally made to look like monsters. So YHM can never be a yardstick for me to compare with other shows. Coz that too joins my long list of shows that had a beautiful start but became miserable after a point. KHKT it’s a clear case of confusion thanks to changing multiple tracks.

What bothers is me is that the fans of KHKT are still in denial that this show has been ruined. I kinda find it weird that people still go around claiming that this show is unique and different which is a big lie.

I made a reference to YHM only because the same Sandiip wrote an EMA tack there and he gave a better treatment there.

IMO, YHM had a much better and longer golden phase than KHKT.
KHKT took too many creative liberties from day 1. The Raima coincidences was of another level!
It all boils down to what kind of show you like: out and out romance of leads kinda show or a different kind of love story between leads.
I love YHM more than KHKT because it was not a usual love story and it had a social message. But hey! That is just my opinion.
KHKT is fun to watch and all. But to me it lacks the emotional angle that YHM had.
Even though both shows are classified as drama, KHKT has turned out to be more of a drama (which usually happens with most romance shows). This kind of family member turning negative generally happens after 2-3 years and that this happened so soon in KHKT is enough for me to rate YHM higher than KHKT.
Any show which runs for as long as YHM is bound to get destroyed fully. So it is not fair compare the entire 6 years of YHM with 6 months of KHKT.

The beginning of the show when they tried to show the hurdles of a TV actress? Yes it was unique. But after the Mhatre track? It was like any other soap filled with typical vamps and villains.
