Last Part

It was the last day of Jr. Rane’s familymoon. Malhar had a beautiful day and date planned for his family but Kalyani had other plans. “Shopping?” Malhar hated that word. To go shopping with Kalyani gave him a headache. ‘Malhar ji iss shop mein chalte hain Malharji uss shop mein chalte hain. Malhar ji ye dekhiye ye kitna beautiful hai Malhar ji wo dekhiye wo kitna beautiful hai. Malhar ji lena nahi hai toh kya dekhne mein kya jaata hai Malharji yehi toh hai shopping ka asli tareeqa aurisi mein toh maza aata hai’. Malhar liked to stick to the list, in and out in 10 minutes was the kind of shopping he liked.

Malhar could never go against Kalyani and so here they were at the shopping mall. Moskh was his mother’s carbon copy. He too enjoyed looking at various things. New things do attract kids but he was different. Sitting in the kangaroo carrier he would try to reach out to every thing he saw. Malhar followed them with Moksh’s baby bag and stroller. “Malhar ji wo dekhiye photo booth!” Kalyani handed him her handbag and Moksh’s kangaroo carrier as she rushed to the photo booth to click pics with her son. That’s right just the mother-son duo. Malhar’s two cuties clicked cute pics and the khadus was left out. He could not stop smiling when he looked at the pics. He wanted to be included but sadly was not. ‘Malhar ji smile karne mein aapke kaunse paise jaate hain? Meri aur Pillu ki cute pics aapki wajah se kharab ho gayi. Abse meri aur Pillu ki hi pics lenge hum aap apni khadus solo pics lijiyega.’ He had ruined their first family pic which had made Kalyani pass this resolution.

Malhar was now feeling tired and hungry. Send him on a stake out and he can go straight three nights without eating or resting his eyes even for a minute but shopping made the always energetic cop tiresome. “Kalyani, tumhe bhook nahilagi hai?” “Malhar ji abhi itni shopping baki hai Moksh aur meri. App ko bhook lagi ho toh aap food court jaaiye Moksh aur main aapko baad mein join karenge.”“Na… Bilkul nahi mujhe bilkul bhook nahi lagi hai. Kalyani shayad tumhe pata nahi main mission par hota hoon toh mujhe bhook pyaas kuch nahi lagti.” ‘MISSION?’Kalyani wondered. “Lekin Kalyani Moksh ko toh bhook lagi hogi na? Moksh ko bhi bhooku lagi hai na?” A grown up man using his son! What had become of ACP Malhar Rane. Moksh was the key to get Kalyani to do anything. “Oh haan mera Pillu bhooka hai na?” Malhar mentally celebrated his victory and to celebrate his baba’s victory Moskh gave him a present too. “Moksh kya karte ho tum khaane se pehle bhi khaane ke baad bhi! Kalyani tum food court jaao main ise change karwake ata hoon.”

“Hey!Kalyani.” She was glad to see her friends from junior college. “Hey guys tum log yahan kya kar rahe ho?” Before she could get her answer one of her friends noticed her mangalsutra and sindoor. “Oh my God Kalyani tumne shadi kar li? Hmm... main toh usi din samajh gayi thi jab tumne use poori school ke saamne kiss kiya tha.” Kalyani was shocked as the forgotten incident was spoken about. “Shh… Chup kar aisa kuch nahi hua tha. Meri shadi…” “Kya naam tha uska… oh haan Atharva! Tumne toh kaha tha ki wo family friend hai family friend haan kuch bhi boyfriend tha na.Lekin yaar itni jaldi shadi karne ki wajah kya thi? OH MY GOD! Kalyani ye toh baby ka … baby… tera baby hai!” “Haan ho gayi hai meri shadi aur mera baby bhihai. Lekin jo tum log samajh rahe ho waisa kuch nahi hai. Meri shadi uss loser Atharva se nahi hui mere husband bahut hi respectable ACP hain. Now please dafa ho jaao tum log unke aane se pehle. Just get lost!” She shooed her friends away and breathed of relief. “Shukar hai Malhar ji ne kuch nahi suna nahi toh main unse kyka kehti. Pakka wo mujhpar shaq karte. Itni mushkil se cheezein theekhui hain sab wapas bigad jaata.” She turned around to take seat and there shesaw the dragon, fire coming out of his eyes. “Malhar ji.” He turned around and started walking.

“Malharji please meri baat suniye, Malhar ji please mujhe galat mat samajhiye, Malharji jo aap soch rahe hain samajh rahe hain aisa kuch nahi hai. Malhar ji aap mere saath aisa nahi kar sakte, Malhar ji aapko meri baat sun ni hogi, Malharji please ruk jaaiye, Malhar ji…” She kept on pleading as she quickly followed him.After a point she thought it was enough! How much had he wrong her and had never once apologized, she had never been angry with him no matter what he did and this man! “MALHAR JI!” She shouted as she grabbed him by the elbow and made him turn to face her. Before Malhar could say anything, her next action left him shocked. His eyes almost popped out of their sockets. The people around them were stunned too. Everything came to a standstill as if time had been stopped. “Ye kya ho raha hai?” An angry mall came charging towards them. “Tum logon ka ghar nahi hai kya? Idhar ye sab nahi chalega. Chalo mere saath. Javani ki bahot garmi chadi hai havalat mein jaoge toh sab utar jaayegi.” Kalyani was not worried about anything. She had done nothing wrong then and now. Malhar was still in a state of shock. The mall cop had informed the near by police station and the officer in charge had gladly sent a shahi savari a service vehicle for the Rane family.

At the police station Malhar was staring blankly at the wall. Kalyani poked him to bring him back to his senses so that he could do something but nothing happened. “Malhar ji ye shocked hone ka time nahi hai please kuch kijiye aap Aurangabad ke ACP hain inhe apna ID dikhaiye taki ye log humein jaane de. Malhar ji aap kuch bolte kyun nahi? Malhar ji jo main aapke saath kiya wohi Atharva…” The name was enough to bring back ACP Malhar Rane. “KALYANI! CHUP! Sab kuch tumhaari wajah se hua hai. ACP Malhar Rane ko police station laaya gaya hai and reason kya hai PUBLIC INDECENCY!” “Maine kya kiya? Main toh bas aapko batana chahti thi ki kuch nahi hua tha, bas jo hua tha wo batana chahti thi. Saare fasaad ki jad aapka gusaa aapka shaq hai. Aap gunhegaar hain aur mein begunah.” Malhar glared at his wife. She pushed him and cutey urged him to get them out of there before word spread. “Kalyani mujhe uss baat ki zyada fikar hai kyunki meri reputation ki vaat lagegi agar logon ko ye pata chala.” Saying this he went to the officer in charge.

He introduced himself and showed his and Kalyani’s IDs. “Yeh ab toh theek hai sir lekin aap unofficial visit par hain upar se mall walon ne complaint ki thi. Hum usko nazar andaaz nahi kar sakte. Agar koi aapki aur madam ki gurantee de toh.” Malhar angrily looked at Kalyani. He had to give a gurantee in other words he had to give an assurance that he was not indecent and would not ever again behave indecently in public ever again. He had no choice but make a call to Sarthak. “Ab ye Malhar kyun disturb kar raha hai?” “Sarthakji aap bhi na bacchon ko koi kaam hoga.” Anupriya accepted the call and placed the phone near her husband’s ear. “Kaka” Malhar whispered. “Malhar kyun disturb kiya hai?” Sarthak’s question earned him a smack on the shoulder. “Kaka wo Kalyani aur main police station mein hain aap please jaldi se yaha aa jaaiye. Please.”“Kya police station? Magar kyun?” Sarthak and Anupriya both were shocked and worried. “Kaka wo sab Kalyani ki wajah se lekin kaka abhi details mein jaane ka waqt nahi hai please aap yahan aa jaaiye.” Malhar gave him the details of the police station and not of the embarrassing incident.

Sarthak walked out of the police station trying to control his laugh. An embarrassed Malhar and an adamant Kalyani followed him. “Kaka, aap hasna band kijiye. Meri koi galti nahi hai. Saari galti aapke bhateeje ki hai.” “Meri galti! Meri kya galti hai jokiya tumne kiya maine kuch nahi kiya.” “Maine? Maine kya kiya? Maine bhi kuch nahi kiya tha! Uss mall cop ko galatfaimi ho gayi jaise ki ACP Malhar Rane kohui thi. Ek baat bataiye training ke time aap logon ko shaq karne ki bhi training di jaati hai kya?” “Kalyani chup raho main waise bhi bahut gusse mein hoon mujhe aur gussa mat dilao. Sharminda karke rakh diya tumne mujhe sabke saamne.” “Sharminda! Maine aisa kya kiya ki aapko sharam aai?” Sarthak and Moksh looked from Malhar to Kalyani and back again. “Tumne kya kiya! Tumne kya kiya Kalyani jo tumhe karne mein sharam nahi aai wo mujhe bolne mein sharam aa rahi hai.” “Kaka aap vakil hai na aaj judge baniye aur boliye ki maine jo kiya usmein kaisi sharam?” “Kalyani don’t you dare! Hum abhi bhi police station ke premises mein hain yahan tamasha mat karo.” “Arre ab toh main dare karke rahoongi Kaka ko bolne dijiye ki maine jo kiya usmein mujhe sharam aani chahiye ya nahi. Apni innocence prove karne mein koi sharam nahi hoti.” Kalyani pulled out the same picture of Moksh again and went ahead to prove her innocence. Kalyani wanted to show Sarthak a repeat telecast of what went on at the mall. She closed in on Malhar with Moksh’s picture in hand. Malhar pushed her hand but could not stop Kalyani reaching him. SMACK!!! Kalyani’s lips pressed on Malhar’s. Both were so shocked that they froze. Sarthak looked here and there, also tried to cover Moksh’s eyes but he pushed away Sarthak’s hand wanting to enjoy the show. I have the right and only I have the right to watch my aai baba romance so let me.

A few seconds later, Kalyani broke the moment. “Malhar jiye kya kiya aapne?” “Maine? Maine kya kiya?” “Aapne mera haath kyun push kiya?”“Mujhe koi shakh nahi tha kaka ko repeat telecast dikhane ke! Issiliye!” “Oh yeah isi chakkar mein first day first show dikha diya!” “Oh please na mujhe repeat telecast dikhane ka shaukh tha na first day first show dikhane ka.” Sarthak and Moksh were enjoying the after show too. Sarthak could not let go of the chance to tease Malhar and Kalyani. “Malhar, tumhaare aur Kalyani ki wajah se mujhe Mumbai ka ye trip saari zindagi yaad rahegi.” “Kaka!” “Tum gussa ho rahe ho? Jabki mujhe tum dono par gussa hona chahiye. Kya sochkar aaya tha aur kyahua hai. Socha tha ki honeymoon pe aaya hoon romantic moments create karoonga apni nayi naveli dulhan ke saath romantic film dekhoonga, haathon mein daalkar haath. Lekin yahan tum dono ki film dekh raha hoon.” Sarthak snorted as he said the last words. Malhar glared at Sarthak then at Kalyani. All the way back to their hotel Sarthak controlled his laugh leaving Kalyani embarrassed and Malhar angered.

A worried Anupriya met them at the entrance. She was relieved to see Kalyani, Malhar and Moksh safe. “Kalyani, kya hua tum dono police station mein kyun the?” “Kuch nahi aai!” Kalyani stormed off with Moksh and Malhar too followed her. “Sarthak ji, kya hua hai? Ye dono aise?” Back inthe room Sarthak gave a detailed descritption of the Kissa Kiss Ka to his wife. In Malhar and Kalyani’s room Kissa Kiss Ka part 2 was about to take place.
