Haha I learnt Hindi in B.Tech by watching serials on hotstar, inter I studied in Hyderabad , I kinda felt inferior, outcast sometimes when my Telangana friends used to discuss Hindi movies, till 10th class I used to byheart Hindi for school examsπ
I feel sad sometimes thinking Hyderabad is not in our state anymore...

I am a telugu girl from Telangana.....and telangana ppl mostly know Hindi when compared to Andhra ppl....the school where I studied we had Hindi from 1st class and so by 5th class we had chapters with shudd hindi....I have always understood hindi but speaking was not fluent as I never had opportunity to speak regularly...but I spoke good Hindi...my husband though is a Telugu, he has been born and brought up in Mumbai/Baroda so during my initial days after marriage we used to converse in Hindi bcoz he was not comfortable speaking in Telugu....but now we talk in Telugu only πand also I lived in Mumbai for 3 years after my wedding and there my fluency improved a lot.....after moving to Hyderabad, so when i speak Hindi now , no one will realise that I am a Telugu girl...they assume I am from North bcoz of the way i speak Hindi....π
I haven't heard of this movie only...will check out some time.....

yes now with this new TRAI rules we need to subscribe to each and every channels ...so most of the channels are gone...earlier we used to get all channels whether we watch or not so sometimes while changing channels got to see glimpses of all shows...π but now getting to see glimpses from the instagram and twitter.....π

In my school we had Hindi from 5 th class to 10 th class π...
I even used to give speeches in Hindi in my School on Independence day, children's day ,Republic day etc.,etc., days π€£...Ofcourse those speeches were written by my Dad π...ofcourse while giving speech i didnt look at the paper π..
I hate speeches but my school teacher used to force me to give speeches on those special national days.. as i was a class/school topper throughout my school days π...
I even won once or twice in Elocution competition in Hindi on some topic (topic i dont remember...π) in my school...I used to get 95 out of 100 in all my Hindi exams π
But i didnt use Hindi for 6-7 yrs in between...i never had such situations to use too..π...So i forgot most of it...When i started watching Hindi shows ...I felt difficult to understand difficult words π...but i can read and write in hindi π.. ofcourse i can't create new sentence while talking ..i find it diffucult π
I'm missing my school days very badly now..good old memories man ! π...Those are golden days of my life π

Haha..your husband situation kinda reminds me of my Mom's situation π...
My mom is Kannadian...She born and brought up in Karnataka...My mom could only understand Telugu but couldn't speak in Telugu after marriage...My dad is a Telugu guy..born and brought up in A.P...But my Dad know Kannada too...My mom still talk in Kannada with my Dad ..my Dad talk in Telugu with her π....Me and my brother talk in Kannada with my mom ...,and in Telugu with my Dad ...π... Me and my brother talk in Kannada with each other π
My mom learnt Telugu after marriage but she speaks telugu with outsiders only...Her telugu sounds very wierd π...Simlilarly My Dad's kannada sounds very wierd π
I'm born and brought up in A.P...So i say I'm a Telugu girl eventhough I'm a hybrid π€£....
My mom doesnt like Kannada shows/movies...she likes Telugu shows π€£
I hope i didnt confuse anyone hereπ€£...

No confusion...as similar situation in my husband's house....
My in laws are born in Telangana but my FIL stayed with his father in Mumbai from his young age (so he can speak and understand Marati along with Telugu and Hindi) and after marriage my MIL shifted to Mumbai.....my husband and his 2 sisters were born in Mumbai and then bcoz of FIL's job, they shifted to Baroda(Gujarat) when my husband was in 4th class....my MIL learnt to speak/understand Hindi after moving to Mumbai....
my 2nd SIL, the youngest one's Telugu is tooti phooti...even kids talk better telugu than her....π
only my husband learnt to read/write Telugu but it takes time for him to read as he has not studied telugu at all in his school days....both my SIL's cannot read/write telugu....
all these siblings talk to each other in Hindi ....
both my SILs' talk to my FIL in Hindi but in telugu with my MIL....
my husband is the only one who talks in telugu with both his parents....
my elder SIL married a telugu guy so she now speaks good telugu...she learnt that fluency only after marriage....
my younger SIL married a UP guy, so her telugu speaking is limited to just my MIL...so her telugu never improves....π
my elder SIL & I talk in Telugu but my younger SIL and me talk in Hindi....
so I can totally understand what you wrote....π
