Same here. Initially I thought Antara too might have been a victim like Maya but after last two episodes, we know she is pure evil. I had a crazy theory before and posting it here now. Now this is not relevant maybe. Since MJ, Antara and Diya are friends from college, and we know MJ always loved Diya - MJ and Diya had been in love and maybe Antara hailed from a rich family. MJ wanted Antara for her money but Antara might have been in love with anyone else. Antara probably got pregnant with that person's child but MJ killed that person without Antara's knowledge and married her on the pretext of giving that child a name but in reality he wanted her property. So Rudra was Antara's son from her ex. Or another theory is maybe MJ deliberately got Antara pregnant so that she would be compelled to marry him. Crazy I know but when u some faltu time around u use it for such nonsense🤣 But now after seeing Antara, I am pretty sure Rudra can't be hers or he might be MJ's son who has nothing in common with his evil parents.

P.S - Love ur DP! I used to love I Dream of Jeannie and Bewitched. The reruns used to air on Sony when I was in school.

In Mahabharat, Arjun was a Devputra, begotten by Kunti after praying to Indra, due to a boon she received from Rishi Durvasa. In fact, all the Pandavas were Dev Putras, and technically, Rudra is all five rolled into one. So there are high chances that Rudra is not Mrityunjay's son. Antara can be the mother, but Mrityunjay, not necessarily the father. Because Rishi has a lot of similarities with his father, but Rudra has none. The kind of ethics and steadfast principles he has living in an environment predisposed to devilry is not possible to have really. And he is the only one there, because of his goodness has been dimmed and emotional blackmail has just stuck him this rut. With Maya, there is more freedom in Rudra to pursue the light of his persona. So I may be wrong about Rudra not being a son, but the possibility is definitely there. If you watched Ek Hasina Thi, Dev was Rajnath's nephew and Arnab's son. Rajnath killed Arnab and brought everything under his finger and kept Dev and his mom in darkness and created situations where Dev drifted away from his family business. With Durga coming into the house, he realized his folly and took over the Goenka company which rightfully belonged to him. So Rudra has drifted away from his family business to create his own name, and Mrityunjay very slyly with emotional blackmail made Rudra bring it under his control. Its like Kauravon ne Pandavon se Indraprastha cheen liya, woh bhi dyutsabha ke bina.

For Rudra, to choose Maya over Antara, the reason has to be big enough. Rishi's death is a big enough reason for Rudra to not support Maya or withdraw from Maya for a while. But if Rudra comes to know that Antara has done something really bad which also opens a secret door towards his identity, then that will be big enough for Rudra to cut off ties. Rudra will leave Antara only when the reason is big enough because he did not leave her even when she chose Mrityunjay over him. So let's see, whether my assumptions are correct or not. What if Rudra's parents are someone else to whom Antara is related to? Or maybe Mrityunjay was an employee in Rudra's dad's company and Antara was his wife. Probably he rose up the ranks pretty quickly and caught Antara's fancy, and they had an affair. The husband came to know and Antara and Mrityunjay killed him off and took all his money, and probably everything belongs to Rudra, hence they need him. This too can be a possibility. Maybe or maybe not.

P.S. Thanks, even I used to watch on Sony, and then I brought DVDs on Amazon, and I can watch them. I love I Dream of Jeannie more.

Nice analysis & discussion here! It was a twisted episode & Rudra managed to put all of us in fairly tight knots since last night. I can see that speculations on ‘what is Rudra up to’ has already been done to death so I might as well add some more fodder to the overcooked concoction!

Maya burning that doll house was so not necessary. We already got the point of her beyhadh unhinged nafrat, CVS don’t need to drill this point in our heads any more. Get on with the plan now and cut down on this silly symbolism. Where does she find a place to do all the burning in a house she just entered a few hrs ago. And express delivery of a custom made gift on the day they land back. Must have done it on way back from Rishikesh while Rudra was catching a nap on the flight🤪!

In the flashback scenes the maximum cruelty was perpetrated by that paltu kutta of MJ ‘Jogi’ & Sudhir. I hope both of them are meted our equally horrendous fate esp Jogi...cud not tolerate the way he was kicking Manvi. I noticed that Aamir was not doing anything just being his usual stoic statuesque self...what is his role here?

As for Rudra...on second viewing why did I feel that he was not entirely lying. We may get a scene today to validate that. He might have called Maya & asked her help. She might have acted like she just arrived on the scene & met him there. It’s possible🤔. But he does know something is not alright here. He has always been very deep & also very sharp. I have a feeling he has been connecting some dots about his elusive Maya for sometime now. And I also feel that he may actually know swimming & his whole act was to get Maya to make the move to save him (whether in the pool or in Rishikesh) It was his way of getting her to admit her feelings & move forward from her desolation/hatred whatever. But he is not playing with her...he is unravelling her in his own way. All said and done I loved how protective he was towards his wife & made it pretty clear to that whole motley crowd of pathetic humans😀! Did you notice he did not let go of her hand throughout the scene and I loved the way he shoved the phone back at Anu with some awesome dialogues to shut her up. But it makes me sad to think this girl was such a good buddy of his to begin with...I so loved their easy camaraderie😟!

And today we will see MJ and Antara falling in line after seeing their son’s junoon for the kachra they threw out 10 yrs ago and will have no option but to pretend all is well. That dialogue b/w MJ Antara et al was interesting...they cannot afford your lose Rudra. Is it just ptotective parental love or is there some deeper secret hidden inside that vault as well, like some of the posts here speculate!

And like you said Rudra is the true mystery here...what goes on behind that handsome, innocent lovable face 😅?

Allow mj ego to gloat over that will be his downfall. Comin to rudra. I do feel he knows something. I had a tingling feeling long back when he asks revenge lene aaye ho. Again after the kiss when he comes and tells main tumhara layak nahin hoon. Again after rishi death koi rishi ke saath the. Most important his dialogue main Maya mein ulja hoon. Then his smile during pheras.but yesterday confirmed he knows something but not full truth. I would say rudra has put his reputation at stake for Maya. Now Maya can't simply burn things and put him in bad light.she has to fight battle keepin his image spotless. The white dress of rudra and Maya in black dress behind him signified that. In nutshell rudra has changed the direction of her battle.myra took the hit for rishi death so that Maya get light.so Maya has to evoke manvi in her to safeguard ppl who care for her and then play games so that mj clan self destroy. Comin to rudra saving manvi.possible.what if he had come to India for a short vacation.he just took the girl to hospital and left.maybe that's why he says ulja hoon. That girl was in bad state ravaged and this girl Maya who is intriguing.maybe he might hav called her father.maybe half conscious manvi tol her name and contact no.we are yet to see why mj killed her dad and bro.

Hey, thanks @shruthiravi.

@bold: You have me confused. Isn't that what we want. A bolder and fiercer Maya. Why is it not good for her? Feeling scared of Mrityunjay will not help her in this war.

Maybe Rudra knows something or is onto something. But I don't think he is a player. He is supposed to be the complete opposite of Mrityunjay. I am not saying he has to be foolish, no. I am saying he has to be on the positive end of the spectrum. What could be the thought process of marrying Maya and bringing her to that house? Shouldn't he hate Maya then? But he loves her, and he is confident she loves him too. Either it is very twisted or we are unnecessarily making it twisted.

Annoying pata hai kya. Akele akele main khali deenge haakti rehti hai, aur jab sab saamne aate hai, to kuch nahi karti. Patience mera base level ke neeche chala gaya hai.

Pata nahi yaar, but un dono kutto ki durgati bahut jald aane wali hai.

Kuch to jhol hai. Rudra ki itni zarurat kyun hai Kachrajay Roy ko aur uski Mrs. Kachri Roy ko??

I agree. There needs to be a very string reason for Rudra to turn his back on Antara. he probably would have if he got to know what Antara had done with Maanvi provided Maya had not killed Rishi. Yeah in EHT, Raj pretended to be a father figure to Dev only for taking away Arnab's business and to keep Dev away from family business.

@libran in EHT the way Durga pretended in front of shaurya was naive traditional virginal girl becoz that's the image such men had of women. That's the image that can make a man play his usual games. Shaurya went behind Durga though sakshi and later dev understood Durga was fakin. Dev couldn't be trapped by her acting of innocence though he was momentarily distracted. Same with mj. They love control.he needs to have a false feelin of control.he needs to go behind Maya.for that manvi ka dar will help. Till power goes from mj it's better for mj to feel in control.once power goes Maya can come in full form.

@bold ..

Maybe to keep eye on her...

We all know that famous quote

Keep your friends close and your enemies closer... Maybe he wants to know why maya is doing all this..??? He knows maya always do things for a reason.. those tests which he thought was useless but later maya made him realise why she did it....

So he knows she did killed rishi.. But why Is the big question for him?

Because he knows she didn't killed rishi for love ...

Actually, I had mentioned it in a post that probably Maya is faking her PTSD to lure Mrityunjay into a false sense of security, to think he is in control, but actually its the other way round. Maya dikhayegi Mrityunjay ko ke woh 2 kadam aage hai, but actually she is the who is making him believe so. But Shaurya's reasons were his lust, and Kachrajay's reasons we know are far from noble, probably lust + destruction. Who knows
