I’m Canadian and there is way more support here for Asim than there is for Shehnaaz. The Punjabi community here didn’t like Shehnaaz so much during the controversy because Himanshi was based here.

Mind you I didn’t go and do an interview in all of Canada to know this as a fact but it’s based on what I see and hear on local South Asian TV and Punjabi radio.

It feels like Asim has way more support than Shehnaaz. The Sidnaaz toxic crap doesn’t sit well with anyone here. Neither does the narcissistic behaviour of Shukla.

If there are people who support Shehnaaz they are mostly the uncles and auntijis who only know Shehnaaz as a Punjabi kudi. They don’t see the show as much nor do they vote.

We the younger crowd (18-30ish) empathize and connect more with the underdog Asim.

Yeh log Rashmi ko humiliate karne se last week mein bhi baaz nahi ayenge eh. Phir se bahar ki personal life pe sawaal - and phir se Shukla ke liye. Waise bola toh Shukla neh bhi bahut hain Rashmi ke baare mein - par na, usko nahi karna ispe question. Uska toh pata hi hain ke “woh matlab nahi hota”

I was late to the DDT party, toh I only read a post discussing drink options for this party (I think it might be for Mahira’s eviction - whenever that happens 😆) - toh maine khud ko invite kar liya. Tum meri plus one ok? Waise Deadinside is a friend - toh humari gatecrashing smooth rahegi 😆

Waise imma have a mini party tmrw too if Shukla indeed gets called out by Rajat - and it’s not yet another whitewashing tactic. Nothing - I repeat - nothing has pissed me off more this season than the fact that this POS has never been held accountable for all the vile shit he’s said and done - he’s ulta been whitewashed. Even more than his filth, it is him not getting due flak for it that is abominable.

Also, like you guys feel Asim deserves to win or he is the most popular same way other fandoms(Rashmi, Shehnaaz) also believe in their candidates. Toh aisse baar baar neecha matt dikhaao dusronko. We don't say that Asim doesn't deserve to be top two and all. Even I don't like Shukla but he is popular and he has huge fan support.
