Asim does a good job of balancing game with emotions. But even then, why does everybody talk as if him being competitive is wrong.

Being competitive is not wrong. Being unsportsmanlike in competition is what is wrong! For example the other person who starts assigning blame as soon he loses. But Asim moves on, win or loss.
