I understand that we need to see the violence in flashbacks to absorb the damage that happened to Maya, but in present times, every 5-10 minutes, MJ is going and grabbing Maya's neck, strangling her, throttling her and she cannot even smash his shameless jaw , and she has to keep quiet because of her secrets and for Rudra's sake. Once it was ok, but everytime? We know MJ is an ogre but we don't need to see him getting violent with Maya 24x7 . And Rudra is not around to save her or rather she cannot afford to have him around for obvious reasons. MJ's strength is his psycho-emotional torture and intimidating verbal domination ( like how he does with Antara)- he is behaving like a C-grade gully ka gunda with all that physical violence on Maya. And no, IT IS NOT PLEASANT TO WATCH. And it is not needed. We know that he is a beep beep beep.
Phew! I have nothing much to say about the flashbacks as I said everything in yesterday's post and what they showed today is expected and is a continuation of that.
But ya, have to mention Maya's trust, faith, confidence and dependence on Rudra ( yes, she has become dependent on Rudra for psychological and emotional strength ). The way she just remember Rudra in her mind while tackling MJ, the way she rubbed it in MJ's face that she is no Manvi Singh - she is Maya Rudra Roy and held on to that talisman of white beads and black threads, as though it was the fulcrum of all the power she had in front of that ogre, the way she collapsed into Rudra's arms to gather herself; all of this makes one relieved and warm , but it also raises an alarm. Rudra is her source of life , yes, but this Rudra doesn't know the hidden side of Maya and all the ugly truths. If she depends so much on this man, who is cradling her like a baby as of now , has she thought how will she handle him and the situation when Rudra could go bonkers for a while? I hope that even in that time , even if Rudra has gone "Rudra", she remembers every word and every emotion of love that he has given her and turns it into her strength.
Rudra and Maya's scene was all awwwwww... he is so gentle , loving and caring with her. He flirts with her without violating the line she has drawn and that only turns Maya into a bowl of chocolate mousse. Such beauty and such a tragedy in the making. I loved how Rudra used the word "hamara" and how Maya said that she doesn't need the house or anything else - her only need is Rudra. And that is sealed with a forehead kiss. Rudra and Maya have a little yellow fairytale world trying to breathe in a fort of death, darkness and devilry. Ironies of life.
Precap? Can I please get a break from MJ pouncing on Maya with rest of the Kauravas grinning and smirking? I need cucumber circles on my eyes and an ice pack on my head.
