As it is fiction they take liberties but in the process they have spoilt the show completely

The very essence of this show was two opposite personalities with different career paths but Sonakshi hardly is seen working ...Rohit merely exists ....

Identity part is lost ....what we expected was a sweet family drama...as you mentioned the hardships faced by the couple coming from two different family backgrounds ...careers...and way they tackle day to day issues faced in this situation ...

As I have mentioned earlier on and multiple times before ...the negativity murder kidnapping stalking was not required at all

What we wanted was a sweet positive nice family drama ...romantic saga ....some misunderstandings some arguments some happiness was all required

Now it is more like Kahani Parvati ki ...the character Paravathi in the serial has come out in the main serial though

Nicely summarized the Ott drama that needlessly involved Sona in everything has somewhat ruined the essence of this beautiful show.

This not to bash Sona. Infact she is a sweet pure soul and should be used wisely (sometime sparingly). Here they overused Sona in too short of a time. If the makers focused more on Ronakshi's Marraige life it would have been a fresh take than all these unrealistic family drama..

Anyways after what is coming in the show, lost my energy to point out what's and who is at fault. Let's hope this show comes back on track with a decent tracks and don't show the side characters as villan at a drop off a hat..

The makers stupidly killed all the lovely bonds in the sippy family that they have created over the past 6 months.. Used to love Ro- Veena, YK-Ro, Ro-Ajit, Even Ro-Nishi(old one) and Ro-Suman.. What a waste. It will be difficult is to see their bonding in future and not feel superficial..

I had been incredibly busy, I didn't have any real estate in my head to use for the show. So, I haven't watched in the last 10-14 days. From the reactions, I read here, I feel like it is not going well.

Khair, I can't comment on the happenings of the show, nor do I have the energy to watch now. But, this post of yours, Mahi hit the nail in the head for me. Especially, the bolded part.

I never really felt that Sona is being abused by the Sippy family or the Sippy family is a bunch of freaky villains out to get butter won't melt in the mouth, Sona🤢😔If I may dissect it out,

Rohan guy had nothing to do with manipulating Sona. Tanya mostly minded her own business. What did Daadi Sippy ever do to Sona?

The curly haired chaachu and Deepa didn't do anything to interfere with Sona, rather it was Sona who eavesdropped and then ratted about their personal conversation👎🏼If she expected them to side her up by saying " yes, we are the kameenein who were thinking of suing my brother" for the injustice doled out on us, TOUGH😡Why would they do that? They didn't do any concrete action. They were just weighing their options. Is it wrong to brainstorm their options when they face a situation not to their liking ? No manipulation or wrong doing on their part against Sona.

What did Pooji do to Sona? What did YK do to Sona? ( unless he did something in the last 2 weeks that I am not aware of ). They made Nishi a gone case. Manipulation of Sona? I can't comment about Nishi. I am disappointed how they decimated character Nishi for reasons best known to them.

Ajeeth? Did he manipulate Sona? I look at it this way, if I made a big mess of things at a meeting and my colleague tells me, Fikar not, I will make this go away for you, whatever happens don't open your mouth.😲 Would I take that offer? You, bet 👍🏼I will jump on it and take that offer. Is that me manipulating my colleague? Or foolishness/overconfidence and " savior mentality" on the part of the savior?👎🏼🤔

Naren ? If I ever find fault with anybody, it is with Naren in that whole household. Not because he " manipulated" Sona, but because he was sooo vocal with Sona about his expectations of a bahu without taking her side into consideration👎🏼. He is a narrow minded boor, in my opinion. Rohit knew about his expectations and cared a rat's behind about them. Sona took it upon herself to live up to Naren papa's expectations. Nobody forced her to do this. If she didn't do per Naren Papa's bidding, her universe wouldn't have shattered, she wouldn't have been sucked into a black hole. It is not like Naren Papa decided to take up Sona beti as his beloved beti anyway. She is still that actress with nefarious intentions as far as he is concerned. So what did Sona gain really with him? She now rather lost her job too ( I mean if she carried on with not working ) along with being that actress with ulterior motives. If Sona is stupid enough not to understand or think things through for herself or with her well wishers ( Suman and Rohit ), it is her fault, not Naren's. You can't vye for an acchi bahu award and if that doesn't materialize, be a becchari for the same exact reason👎🏼Unfortunately, doesn't work that way.

Manipulation into signing a prenup. Again, similar to above. She had sooo many options with this too. She could sign the prenup if she wanted to, as she is aware that she is not after the money, so I really don't see a problem from her end in signing it. She could have shared it with Rohit very matter of factly as well. As in their heart of hearts, divorce is not where their relationship is going, and so the prenup would have remained null and void anywayBut, she chose to keep that a secret from Rohit for some reason I still don't understand. When Rohit is mad that she didn't share the signing of the prenup, it is not about the content of it. Rather the whole act of signing a big contract which involved some downstream consequences for both of them, without his knowledge. Do I think Rohit saw her as a gold digger? A big NO from what I have seen so far. But, he is shattered by Sona breaking the trust, understanding and yakeen in between them. I didn't feel that Sona ever understood his point of view🤢.

Veena? Well, both Sona and Veena are equally melodramatic in their expression of love for each other. Sona wanted to keep that crorepathy wala love and so she twisted herself into a pretzel and did everything what Veena wanted/ hoped and desired for her to do. Veena went behind Sona's back and tried to manipulate circumstances and Suman and other people around Sona. She didn't dare to put this forth with Sona, such as don't talk to whoever that crass guy on the phone asking her rate, or not do the rain dance etc. As long as Sona didn't hear from Veena herself, it is as if it was never said, she could have ignored it and continue with whatever she felt was right. But NO, usse acchi bahu award chaahiye thi, and fulfill even untold wishes of her mamma Veena. Again , consequences of being over enthusiastic, know-all and be-all. I don't call that manipulation on the part of Veena, it is more like Sona baited herself into doing all this. Can't call herself a pure, selfless soul if this flew and then a jilted, victim DIL if it didn't. It can't be both ways.

I haven't seen so far Rohit manipulating Sona into doing anything. In fact, he is twisting himself to side with and trust Sona even in the impossible circumstances.

Anyway, don't know if I am making sense girls . But this is my 2 or 20 cents worth on " manipulation of Sona".

But isn't this the norm of every show on Star plus, forgive me please I am generalising but as far as I have observed the creatives of star plus have only one creative or let's say just one trick up their sleeves - Make FL mahaan and a Martyr

You want a drama - simple make everyone wrong in a family and the FL a self sacrificing, helping everyone and a interfering moron who is supposed to be a sweet simple soul but in actuality is a moron who doesn't mind her own business( I am talking about the character not the actor please)

Ultimately we get that the ML is becoming a kind of doormat who can be manipulated by anyone in the family and then he finally realizes that his mahaan family is wrong and the FL is right and then he goes out of his way to win her back

And yes we'll see that the FL has moved on ,she is strong again and smart and what not but not really realizing her mistakes ? Its all the ML fault and then we'll also be shown that as strong she is shown to be but she still has an empty space in her heart for the ML

This is what is pseudo liberation of women , however successful a lady might be she still needs a man by her side

And that's the ultimate aim for a channel like star plus to show that a women by herself is not complete, she needs a family and a man to complete her ...they dare not show that a woman can work alone why because it shatters a glass ceiling of their own minds

Starplus has always shown huge rich family set ups why because nobody is poor in their world ..I think the last time they showed a sensible story was again at 7-7:30 slot show called sasural genda phool( haven't seen the show but only heard good things about it)

Well makers/channel all else who are in this fictional creative word we the audience demand you to lift your lazy bum and use your brain to come up decent, positive and thought provoking stories to tell...

Bring some nuances in your story telling creatives. We the audience are ready for it.. I hate to put this thought out here ..why because this show was not bad ...it started out as a satire towards the very things which are wrong in ITV and this forum is a beloved place and maybe writing negatives about this is bad and kinda disloyal

But I do believe that the shows we watch and especially the shows on star plus (I wonder what the channel heads have against progressive thinking and women in general)

Show what a mind set we have

The society in India and basically the middle class is what these shows are targeted to why because the middle class and others watch these shows , we watch these shows , we watch these shows and then the show and channel earns the money so what does our choice of the show tells us about our own selves

I have to put this thought out there, this separation and this whole set up has happened why - to delay consummation why - because star plus creatives think that leads having consummation or sex just after marriage is bad for TRPs. ( Don't judge me please )

This whole thing has been set up to justify the fact that the leads didn't have sex and then when they will reconcile ( long episodes after ...and lot of tears and stuff later ). There will be a big night for consummation. And I suppose that night will be harped about and will be supposed to bring in huge TRPs

With this thought out in open ...again I don't think anyone will agree with me but let's say having seen many many shows of ITV this whole scenario is making sense to me by only this way ..that separation had to happen to delay the SR

I don't get why the creatives think like that or even why the audience only tunes in to see the SR🤣

Divorce proceedings anyway have been made a joke of .. no court in India at least grants divorce immediately because in India we as a society believes in institution of marriage and however short a marriage is ,still the couples are called multiple times in front of the judge ,are supposed to go for mandatory councelling and are granted divorce after many many dates

And you are supposed to sign papers in front of your lawyers and a magistrate but anyways let's just say that anything connected to reality right now on this show will be purely coincidental but I don't actually mind that because who in the right sense in the audience would like to see a family court drama

Indian women are supposed to be doormats ... We don't have a voice or a say , we are supposed to fall in line by the society expectations , however successful a girl is ,she ought not to be alone why ..because it's a man's world out there and we are supposed to be scared out there alone , we are not supposed to say out loud our opinions who know whose fragile ego we may shatter

A girl who is successful and having a career is a dangerous sign ..she ought to be sitting at home and begetting children and God forbid if she has needs of her own ..that will be blasphemy indeed , she must be pure in heart and a virgin all round why because she must be a pure for her husband so that successful SR happens - these are the standards of a leading channel of our country - star plus ( I might be exaggerating )

A girl is strong for being herself , to be able to say her opinion , put forth her thoughts on any subject and be respected for that

There has been a quote going around in social media that for us to build a better society an equal society we need not only to bring up girls as strong but also that boys should be taught that the opinions of girls matter that boys should be taught that consent matters and be told that respecting women just doesn't mean respecting their moms only ..respect for women at every turn of life , whether she is just a maid , a colleague or a lady in the street

Our television as a media doesn't promote a sensitive smart and a good human being as a male lead why because they will be less manly , we won't like the male lead who will be able to support his wife or girl friend in the society who will help his partner in life to succeed as she wants to . At least not on this channel ( I know they showed such a lead on Sony and that show was extremely popular)

Oh I must be talking about a different country because I think I saw Mukesh Ambani the richest man in India actually helping his brother from being bankrupt by providing funds but no in India two brother or a sister and a brother will only stay together because they are interested in money only money

Again I don't blame the show per say because by standards of the channel this show is on that's happening in every show so why should they be different

Because being different is wrong , you are pointed out for having a different opinion .

And no wonder Joint families are dying out in our country ..because every joint family in Starplus has intrigue and murder and jealousy and lots and lots of drama (sarcasm- I know that star plus is not solely responsible for having killed joint families in India 😆)

I seem to have gone on in a different tangent sorry ..the only point I am trying to make is that star plus has ruined a show which was and could have been like a way for them to make their way into a more progressive India but I don't think the creative heads of star plus have the courage or the back bone to make their way into a new and progressive India

The show has been going downhill from some time and i have ranted enough on it! and I cannot do anything excet for hope if even after all this i want to watch! Did i saw it is the best amongst everything? No! But what i wanted to point out was that the level of itv is so low that even after all this shit..it is still better than most of the crap going on itv!!!! Even after these non-sense episodes it is better than those kundlis, rishtad and supernatural shit going on..this is what i meant!

And honestly speaking...i don't expect anything better from a shitty channel like star plus! I was pleasently surprised when i saw this beautiful show on star plus! But somewhere deep doen i always knew yhat it would meet its fate!! Which starplus show hasn't been ruined and if not ruined not scrapped off?? NONE!! If i talk about the present scenario...sanjeevini (came with a diff concept) was ruined after 15-20 eps at max! YRHPK was ruined after some 50 eps ! The char of abir, which was one of the best initially has been ruined so much that ppl r stuck to the show only because of shaheer! KHKT is already seeing its fate! Jinn is providing utter non-sense! Obviously smthg as stupid as that can't be ruined more!! Lets not talk about YRKKH and KZK2!! Everyone knows better about that! And that YHC..it came with a diff concept and a beautiful one too...but the show has been nothing but regular OTT fest! nd that prisha is beyond tolerable from the start!! Nothing absolutely nothing on this channel can survive for more than a few months!

And lets not compare it with YHM! KHKT is a prine time show! It airs at 9! And has to compete with kundlis and all! Behayd airs on sony at same time and lets not forget jenny has a huge fan following! Plus 9 pm is the prime time for news channels too!!! The competition is high whereas YHM aired at 7 30 and than at 10 30, there was no competition for trps as such!! That is y channel didn't interfere in the storyline till a certain time!

Also i was sharing sandeep's views as a producer! Neither i was defending him nor the show! He clearly stated about his and the channel's expectations from the show! And didn't he tweeted an infirect a few days back where he was pissed off and said "pyar ke liye kuch bhi karega should be changed to trp ke liye kuch bhi karega?" And didn't we hear about how channel is scapping off tracks, sending scripts (sometimes) and finally editting the show that too from reliable sources??

Next time if u wish to tag a person smthg, first go through the entire convo and some other posts of that person to understand the reason of that particular post!!

I am always up for different views and healthy arguments but if u r here to give me or anyone unnecessary than pls..not required!

Such a huge rant! Took me quite a while to read. First I don’t know why you got offended. By ‘such fans’ I meant people who are watching this crap they are showing and still saying that the show is better than the rest. Like seriously peeps! You compare with the worst shows out there and saying it is better than the worst. I have watched bits and pieces of Kumkum Bhagya and I am aware of the drag feat that show is. Believe me when I say it that this show is no better than KKB (except for maybe the pace)

Second, don’t call Beyhad2 a competition to KHKT. KHKT is at least getting decent numbers. B2 is your me of the least watched shows on Sony. Even for Sony’s standards 0.5 is low. So Jennifer’s so called fan following is not translating to numbers which makes me wonder if her fan following is being over hyped.

Third, yes YHM never had TRP pressure for 2-3 years because it was exceeding the expectations of the channel right from day 1 unlike KHKT. YHM got 3 TRPs at 11 pm beating shows at 8pm and 9pm! That is why channel shifted to 7:30pm.

And don’t say that YHM had no competition. YHM decimated all its competition which speaks for the success of the show. When YHM shifted to 7:30 pm, our FL Dipika’s Sasural Simar Ka was airing at that slot and it was an established show at the slot getting big numbers. But within 2-3 months of shifting to that slot, YHM beat SSK and finally emerged the king. Eventually SSK’s numbers dropped very low and it’s time was changed and then it was axed.

And I took YHM’s example only because it was Sandiip’s show. He had ruined that show as well after 2-3 years mainly due to off screen friendships.

My grouse was with how Sickand boasted of how this show is going to be so different and it is going to be a like a web series and all. Finally look at the output! No words at all... Ever since the Raima track, this show has been reaching new lows.
