Shut him off for what? For showing mirror to Siddharth? As seen in the precap, he didn't say anything to Sana. He said everything to Siddharth. Agar itni hi dosti pakki hai toh why get affected by what "instigator" Asim says? Affect hota hai kyunki Asim sahi bol raha hai. Both Aarti and Shehnaaz know that Siddharth keeps self-benefit above any friendship but they don't want to counter it because they both suffer from low self esteem. They both want to hold on to this friendship/relationship with an abuser, who constantly gaslights and exploits them.

Btw any Sidnaz fan defending Shukla is not a naz fan. IMO.

Shehnaz has always saved Shukla whenever given the opportunity, always.

Effect sidharth ko isliye hota hai because he is saying bhonk bhonk again!! Yaar.. kyun beech mein he is becoming another abdullah...

Asim and Siddharth have a history where he is always reminded that he was the wrong one and Siddharth was a generous, kind brother-like friend, who loved him to death. Asim kept speaking up about Siddharth's annoyingly selfish behaviour but no one listened to him. Today, when the same happened with someone else, Asim saw it as the perfect opportunity to remind him, the house, the cameras that he stood validated.

This is exactly what all of us here have been saying that Siddharth's mask as a benevolent friends needs to be exposed because beneath this image is a man, who makes calculations before friendships. So, Asim has actually said what we have been wanting to say- that Siddharth Shukla is an abusive, ungrateful man.
