Lol what a predictable 90’s trope. And this is how they justify Rishi’s death. Cool. 😆
If the writers wanted to show us a conventional story, they could’ve shown sexual harassment at workplace? No? It was already established that MJ is a predator who moves from one woman to other like nobody’s business. He could’ve harassed Manvi too, she could’ve spoken up about it and faced the repercussions by losing half of her family and her kid. And not finding support from anyone. At least that would’ve justified Rishi’s death. The whole office romance and I was too naive and taken advantage of seems so weak and pointless to me. If she chose to ignore her gut feelings and fell for his vulnerable act, if she chose to be in a relationship with him, she cannot say ‘oh but I was too innocent! I didn’t know his true face’. Then you should’ve found out more before jumping into the mess feet first.
I’m sorry if this is offending anyone but extra marital affairs have always been a tricky topic for me. Two parties involved are equally at fault and one can’t come out of it and say I had no idea what I was doing. Come on! She’s smart and intelligent, her mum’s constantly warning her to be safe, she’s herself aware of how some bosses can be and repeatedly says “I’m not that type of girl” and yet she falls for his crap? How? At least take a step back and analyse? Maybe I’m expecting too much here. I know it’s easier said than done and sometimes emotions make you blind to logic. But this whole backstory is just a bummer!
Also, I know the betrayal of MJs fake love was not the reason for her revenge or Rishi’s murder, but it is the basis of the entire story and that is what bothers me. She trusted him, she fell for his lies, she got betrayed. Wanting to kill MJ is still okay, killing an innocent who had nothing to do with her past is not okay! Especially not with this storyline!
