So, congrats to the entire MayRa fandom🥳Apne ladka aur ladki ki shaadi ho hi gayi. Ab aage chalte jo bhi hoga, woh zadarbast hoga. A very emotionally balanced episode, which very well highlighted the tussle between love and hate, happiness and revenge. Yesterday it was about Rudra, and tonight was about Maya. I have a lot to discuss because there is symbolism galore in this episode.
Colors - Tonight was about colors. Rudra's color of love, Maya's color of revenge and more specifically, the color in which MayRa got married. Rudra was wearing a grey jacket, which is similar to the color of "bhasm" which Shiv always applies on himself. Maya was in black with the red chunri on her head. Similar to how Kali is. Kali or Kaalratri is darkness with two reds in her life - the red of her sindoor which is the symbol of her love for her Mahakaal, and the red of blood which is her ferocious form vanquishing demons. So technically the calmness of Shiv met the ferocity of Kali. Shiv married the very raw and natural force of nature Kali. Maya tonight was on a similar threshold tonight. The threshold of love and revenge. The red was a symbol of Rudra's love, and also the blood she will be spilling of the Roy clan. Rudra's light met Maya's darkness, Rudra's truth met Maya's illusion.
Maya's turmoil - So the Maya we know today is the sanki Maya. She cannot change that about herself because that is what has made her who she is today - Maya Jaisingh. Maya's turmoil is understandable. But atleast, we got to see her turmoil. Otherwise, she was going on and on about revenge, without showing us about her turmoil. Life is a bitch. When you want something, you don't get it. When you don't want something, that is when you are coaxed to accept it. Long and short is, God will only give something when he knows its the right time to be given. Probably, God was preparing Maya to be the ultimate nemesis to Mrityunjay Roy. Who knows what he had done before her. Who knows how many lives were ruined because of him. That time Maya's weakness was love, and God had to show her reality the hard way. Now that she has accepted what reality looks like, God is giving her love, the love she deserves, the only thing which can salvage her ravaged soul. Before Maya ran behind an illusion of love, and she was slapped with reality. Now Maya was running away from the reality of love and she was blocked by love.
Mera pyaar tumhari hadh hai - As @shruthiravi had pointed out, Rudra binds the ferocity of Maya in his vow of love which will pause the destruction she wants to cause, and direct it in a more positive and righteous way. Rudra has barricaded Maya in his love, from where her insane hate won't damage innocence, and the power lust of an insane Mrityunjay, won't ravage her soul anymore. Maya belongs to Rudra, so she cannot run away from Rudra. Maya probably hasn't understood the gravity of his love yet. And I am not surprised either. What does Maya know of love? Maya has always believed in the fairytale romance, and that isn't love. Love is purity, love is sacrifice, love is keeping others above yourself, love is stability, love is security, love is pride, love is open. Whatever she has seen and known of love, isn't what love is. And Shivji through his namesake is showing her what love looks like. So Rudra has and will be stunning Maya in ways she has not even seen. Maya cannot run away from love, because love is the only emotion that gives strength. Love is only capable of turning her revenge saga into her fight for justice. It can give the necessary positive direction to an otherwise destructive fury. And she forgets Krishna himself told Draupadi once if you take revenge, it will be selfish, but if you do justice, then it will be for everyone out there.
Vows of love and hate
Rudra vows to never let anyone come between them, not even God, which is strange, because his father who thinks he is God, will always try, so I hope he lives up to what he promised.
Maya promises to never allow her darkness to eclipse Rudra's light. Good thought Maya, hope you live up to that. Because it isn't possible, that Rudra does not step into her darkness. Not just that she promises to trust him before herself, which means that she will put her faith in his light over her darkness. All the besht Maya didi.👍🏼
Rudra promises to be Maya's light even in the most adverse dark circumstances. Support her in every situation - be it happiness or sadness, life or...which is when she stops him. Hints at Maya not allowing death to even touch him, because sadly enough she has chosen death for herself.
Maya promises that as long as she lives, being the keyword here, she will be with him, protect his love. When she dies, she will hold his hand, with his name on her lips and his face in her eyes. Maya, why are you so negative yaar.😭 But she actually means it. She knows she cannot live a long happy life with him. She intends to end all the darkness with herself as the antim aahuti to her yagya.
Rudra vows to support her in her journey. Her love will be his love, her hate will be his hate, her trust will be his trust, her tears will be his tears. This means Rudra will safeguard all that she loves and will help her destroy all the ones who have earned her hate. But will he be able to do it, knowing that it may be his family in the line of fire?
Maya and Rudra both vow to honor each other's love. But Maya vows to destroy Mrityunjay. Her hate for Mrityunjay will win by her love for Rudra. Oh man, this gets interesting here, because more than anyone else, Maya has to strike a balance between her hate for Mrityunjay and love for Rudra. Rudra's love will be the shield which unfortunately Mrityunjay cannot hurt or bypass. And Maya's strength which was her mystery before will be Rudra. Mrityunjay, daddu tu bhag le, kyunki Maya aa gayi hai.
The ultimate vow - What will this promise be that she takes from Rudra. I don't know. I want to know what will she ask of him. I think someone should do a poll. What will it be? The nation wants to know😆
Well, that's from me tonight. Let's hear your thoughts people.
