Actually we were discussing in another thread about the same.. in mahakali story , she comes to vishnu to question about her existence or importance and then he directs her to path of marrying Shiva.. rishikesh is a place of vishnu..

Maya is in twin mind of what u pursue..she will end up pursuing Rudra . Her revenge will also happen hopefully not like a wild fire but in more sensible manner.. like she said na she is writing the story but she is not.. Shiva was always the racheta or he gave the direction of the story and that's how it will go..
