More than 50 films were announced for release in 2020. The new age cinema has started to flourish. Our industry which has largely been dominated by television, is now evolving. Many fraternity members are venturing into the glitzy world of films. The new age cinema is still in its very initial stages. While many actors have emerged as the leading superstars of our film industry, many others are making their film debuts and are yet to prove their mettle on the big screen.

Following is the list of actors who are making their film debuts in 2020 and we believe these are the actors who have immense potential to become superstars in near future!

Zahid Ahmed

Zahid Ahmed has signed his first feature film this year alongside Saba Qamar and Syed Jibran. It is Hassan Zia and Jamil Baig’s collaborative production which will be directed by Saqib Khan. Zahid Ahmed is indeed an actor with a lot of substance. He is a recognized actor who has largely been lauded for his realistic and gripping portrayal of characters on Tv. The actor has showcased his brilliance in dramas such as Ishq Zahe Naseeb, Besharam and Daldal among others. Zahid Ahmed has the persona, appeal and skill set and to make an impact on the big screen. All he needs is a hit film with good content to become one of the top film stars! Hopefully his debut film will be able to provide him with his big break in films.

Imran Ashraf

Adored actor Imran Ashraf will be making his film debut in Ehteshamduddin’s directorial “Dum Mastam” alongside Amar Khan, this year! Imran Ashraf truly made an impact with his performances in Ranjha Ranjha Kardi and Alif Allah Aur Insaan. The dedicated actor has a lot of potential to create magic on the big screen. If given a role suited for his talents, Imran Ashraf has the capabilities to rule the cinema screens!

We believe Imran Ashraf’s character in Dum Mastam will impress people as he is essaying a Punjabi character who lives in the walled city of Lahore! This character fits the actor like a glove! His father will be played by Sohail Ahmed, another actor who will fit the role flawlessly! Their pair will be heartwarming and it will definitely garner love.

Emaad Irfani

Emaad Irfani also has a filmy face and an appealing screen presence. The actor is making his film debut in Tahir Mahmood’s Gawah Rehna opposite Ghana Ali. The Cheekh actor has been garnering a lot of love and attention on Tv, and he truly deserved to be on the big screen.

Farhan Saeed

Farhan Saeed is another very gifted actor. He is both handsome and popular. He garnered a lot of fame and love from the masses through his performance in the Suno Chanda series. The actor will be making his film debut from upcoming film Tich Button and we are certainly looking forward to his big screen debut! Farhan Saeed surely has a lot of potential to become one of the superstars of Lollywood, if given a role in a film with good content!

Azaan Sami Khan

Azaan Sami Khan’s first acting project is Hum Film’s upcoming film, Pathak Dey. He will be sharing the screen with Hania Amir. Azaan Sami Khan was trained in India. Part of his training required him to assist the director of Karan Johar’s film Kalank in India. The actor acquired first hand experience of the workplace in India. Azaan Sami Khan possesses exposure of the film business and we believe he may be hiding a lot of talent in him! In addition, he transformed his body in India. He took professional help for making his new muscles and surely looks like a hero now! Azaan Sami is also very good looking and we wont be surprised if he wins over the audiences in Pathak De.

Junaid Khan

i like all the actors mentioned in this article. but i respect emmad irfani the most.

Emmad is still struggling in the industry. He got noticed after Cheekh , but he needs to be accepted as a solo male lead too. His movie is a historical one, I think it will flop.🥺

Btw. The article didn't mention Syed Jibran who is making his debute this year with Saba Qamar a long with Zahid Ahmed.

I have watched loads of old pakistani films too and i somehow feel in films they are always behind their dramas.If you compare with indian films,indian ones were better back in the days..So am not sure how this filmi business will go but am glad for pakistani industry as a whole.Bollywood has become too besharam..much more that general life in india. Even in bombay with very modern and advanced people I have not seen that kind of behavior .They are too much now a days ....

I don't think that Indian dramas now are presenting the real life in most of the areas in India. In fact I don't believe it did earlier. 😃 It is only for entertainment and commercial success. It seems like they are copying American lifestyle in their movies, or maybe it really happens in urban areas.😕

My bets are on Zahid. His personality and acting skills are top notch and he has the X-factor to be a successful big screen "hero".

As much as i like imran ashraf, he doesn't impress me as a lead. I love his acting but he doesn't have that "hero wali baat". Even in dramas, he is better in character roles than leading hero.

A name i didn't see in the list but am sure will make big impact is Ahad Raza. He is the perfect chocolate boy with good acting, suitable for the boy next door or college hero roles.

As good looking as Emmad is, i was underwhelmed with his acting and screen presence in Cheekh.

Ever since Ekta Kapoor serials started there was no realism at all. Ab toh it's all supernatural and other crazy stuff. 😂

As compared to 90s, i feel today's bollywood movies are closer to reality, especially the small town stories.

I gave up on Indian dramas..but I am forced to watch them with my nieghbour and kids. 😆 we gather on the evenings , have dinner while watching Ishq Mein Marjawa, Kasuti Zindagi Ki 2 and Ek Tum Aur Ek Hum!😃

As compared to 90s, i feel today's bollywood movies are closer to reality, especially the small town stories.

There are some thought provoking movies, and there are lots of vulgar and stupid ones. I'v just watched the trailer of Thappad and I am amazed.

I feel like this the "Ek Tum aur Ek Hum" serial your talking about. It's one of my favorites right now. Correct me if I am wrong.
