Deepika did better Kathak than Madhuri in Bajirao Masatni!

I was watching Mohe Rang Do Laal and Kaahe Ched Ched Mohe from Devdas and my god Deepika was so much better.

She gave much more expression and her dancing was so fluid. Almost felt like goddess of dance dancing.

I don't agree with this dear. Madhuri is still in a league of her own when it comes to dancing.

But Deepika is also awesome👍🏼

You are allowed to have your opinion but I think only a kathak expert can judge for certain who was better ..

Deepika was exquisite. She is one of the few actresses who can come close to people like SriD, Mads, Ash.

What deepika did in mohe rang do was very basic kathak.

This type of kathak routine is given to people who aren't trained or are not good trained dancers.

What she did in the song was taught to us as basics when I was 8 or 9.

There was almost no foot movements because she isn't trained. So they focused on the graceful hand movements and expressions.

Let me tell you as a trained kathak dancer, deepika doesn't even come close to madhuri in kathak. Because 1) madhuri has terrific facial expressions. Deepika has 0 expressions whatsoever.

2) she has better footwork by default because in mohe rang do we didn't see deepika do any footwork.

3) madhuri's entire posture is very poised and graceful as a kathak dancer's should be. But sorry to say deepika lacked here to.

The thing is madhuri's routine was fast paced with all distinct gharanas( footwork, hand movements and facial expressions) in full form.

Hence her performance was waay more difficult.

It's unfair of you to compare her to madhuri, I would've felt okay if it was Alia. 😆

Deepika isn't a Kathak dancer 😆 Kathak is the toughest dance form in India as far as I know. No one can dance fluid Kathak without extensive training. Mohe Rang Do Laal isn't kathak, it's kathak made easy for Deepika. But to be fair to her, I read somewhere that she didn't get much time to prep for Mohe Rang Do Laal. Most probably practiced only a week & then shot in 2-3 days because they were running on tight schedule. Itne me itna hi milega😆

I don't know whether it's true, but I remember reading articles that Alia learned Kathak from Pandit Birju Maharaj for almost a year for Ghar More Pardesiya & she was praised for the hardwork she put in. And we have seen the outcome😆

This person here is just trying to get Deepika bashed by comparing her with Madhuri. Even a blind will agree that Deepika is nowhere near Madhuri in dance prowess.😆

Totally agree with you. Deepika was flowing like laminar flow of a fluid while Madhuri was turbulent.
