She had planned the construction site accident to test Rudras Loyalty. She was wearing a harness. So technically she didn't need to be saved but when Rudra saved her, she was touched. She feels for Rudra but is being stubborn and silly coz she doesn't want to admit it.

Maya had a safety harness. So, she knew she was safe and she was testing Rudra. She tells him so too at the later stage of the episode.
