Hello people
I'm a silent reader and never really comment on any forum. Like many of you, I got hooked into KHKT because of the understated and real acting and storyline. Alas, that is long gone.
So frustrated was I that I didn't watch any episode during the week because I couldn't tolerate being more frustrated while waiting for the next day's episode. Your comments and discussion kept me going this week, so thanks for that ā¤ļø
Today, I finally ran a repeat of all the episodes which, I think, allowed me to see the story as it flowed and form my thoughts in retrospect rather than in the moment. My take:
1. Sonakshi was absolutely wrong to lie to Rohit about letting Naren's truth slip. If she wanted to protect Ajit, she could've said her mom didn't tell her and she'll try to find later. Now the priority is to get Veena okay. HOWEVER, as an elder sister and emotional person, it is understandable that she wanted to protect Ajit because she thought Rohit might do something to Ajit or family might be harsh on him when he's already going off the rails. Again, a premature assumption but understandable nonetheless.
Silver-lining: Maybe Rohit overheard Ajit asking Sona to tell Rohit it was him when they both thought he had passed out. Alternatively, I do think Ajit's guilt is eating him and will overpower his sense of fear eventually and he'll confess.
2. Despite feeling betrayed by Sona, he is not completely detached from her. His priority is Veena and he overtime has grown to understand Dina's viewpoint that he needs to give Veena time and space to process this news. And he acknowledges that she's not ready to separate from Naren. It hurts him but he realises Sona was right. This is giving him more room to lower his anger towards Sona.
Silver-lining: Rohit doesn't feel avengeful and doesn't want to compromise on his promise of supporting Sona when he can, e.g. when Veena goes ballistic and thinks Sona's words promoted Naren for suicide. Somewhere, he still values and thinks of Sona as his partner.
3. Veena is distressed and her reactions for the most part are understandable. She's just not in the right state of mind. HOWEVER, her turning onto Sona and slapping her, insinuating a suicide case on her is the biggest evidence of her selfishness in keeping her fairytale world where she's bias towards her husband and Rohit.
Silver-lining: Maybe Sona will FINALLY see what a shallow person her MIL is (similar to when she gave her a look of disbelief when Veena says ILU after Sona signed the pre-nup
My hope is that the prenup coming out will definitely signal to Rohit and Sona that another plot is in the works. Whatever the case, he will be irredeemable if Rohit thinks Sona wants money.
