Naseeruddin Shah or Anupam Kher?Who is the better actor?

Anupam kher is underrated, whereas nasiruddin is highly overrated.

I have watched tons of AK movies and only two of nasiruddin's ....jtyjn and Wednesday. The guy has no personaliry ND he is just too boring to watch onscreen. Too serious an actor for my likings.

Anupam Kher has a range of characters to his credit, right from evil villain to comic villain to comedy to serious drama.... He has done everything with ease...

Naseeruddin is good in few roles but cannot do slapstick OTT stuff easily like Anupam.

Both are good actors, but Anupam Kher is more versatile (hence will suit commercial movies also).

Serious acting, both will do good. But comedy or villain role, Anupam Kher does better.

Nasiruddin Shah has acted in comedies like Jane Bhi Do Yaaro, as a villain in movies like Sarfarosh. But his acting in them was serious. Neither cartoonish (Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro was a satire, where his character was used as a pawn by the bigger players), nor villainish (He had the pain of othering in Sarfarosh). That is why he is more suited for serious movies than masala movies.

Kher on the other hand, can act seriously in an art movie (Saraansh), over the top clown (in Dil Hei Ki Maantaa Nahi) and a villain.

But Amitabh Bacchan can do all these + can bring audience.

I don’t think he’s boring, he plays villainous role very well and has one of best dialogue deliveries after BigB, Kher is brilliant especially in comic roles I missed him he’s hilarious.

Anupam Kher obviously he can play comedy/villian/serious roles

Naseer is mostly one-D in terms of acting while Anupam Kher has a wide range. Naseer sucks at comedy while Anupam has a great comic sense along with timing. I also feel Naseer is monotonous and works in one kinda role but Anupam Kher is versatile.

I pick Anupam.

Sometimes I find liberal’s condensing attitude towards others, their “know it all” show off and preachy gyaan is such a nonsense ( lorem ipsum).

Naseer is the better actor.

Anupam, apart from Saaransh I can’t remember a movie of his that had a great impact on me. I like him in comic roles..he ha brilliant timing.

Anupam Kher, much superior and versatile. He has excelled in all kinds of roles- positive, negative, character, supporting, homosexual.

Naseeruddin is good in strong character roles.

Naseer can never do a Pinku by Anupam. Infact not even Saransh at that age.
