What extreme levels of poking though? Aisa toh kya kiya that warrants what Shukla did? And would you deny that Shukla gets provoked on anything - literally someone saying his name or even breathing in a certain way? Why is he even in BB if his level of tolerance and resilience is in the minus?
Not to mention, his own poking and provocation - continuously putting people down, through words, actions and body language - those atrocious smirks, I could go on and on. He legit harasses people, cannot respect consent to save his life - it’s his way or the highway. But the others have to be careful to behave in a way that doesn’t upset/trigger the bully? I don’t think so.
How he behaved yesterday - that’s no sane or even normal person’s reaction. The comment he made on Asim’s dad and brother - what was the provocation that induced and warranted that? Shukla walked into that fight uninvited. And is that comment - one that would piss anyone off to epic proportions - not provocation?
And since when is a person’s reaction not their own responsibility? No accountability because apparently they felt “poked”? I disagree with that entirely. The day before - I’ll agree Asim was wrong and was trying to ape Shukla. But yesterday - the poking was done by Shukla and with his jhund at that. They literally bullied Asim in a pack. And I don’t subscribe to the “he asked for it/deserved it” view - they’re responsible and accountable for what they did.
If anything, yesterday put a stamp on how utterly weak Shukla is, given his massive ego and superiority complex, and absolute inability to deal with anything that doesn’t pander to his ego. Not to mention the outright threats of violence - disgusting. Because again - what extreme levels of poking? What exactly do you think Asim did, that warrants or even makes understandable - Shukla’s behaviour yesterday, towards Asim and in the CR?
The thing here people fail to understand is-when some critique is being offered for Asim or he's called out for something, that automatically is translated as justification for Shukla's behaviour. This post isn't to do just that-justify Shuklas behaviour-I do not support what he has done or said-the abuses cannot be justified. That was wrong on his part. Period. And I don't think anyone here really are justifying Shuklas behaviour by bringing in Asims poking. Woh toh karta hai Asim. And to extreme levels at that too. Easy to say poking is the game and why come to the house if one hasn't got the resilience for it. But put one's self in that position and if subjected to such levels of provocation and poking- then let's see how much resilience and tolerance one has. Mujhme to nahi hoga I'm sure. Shayad main Shukla se bhi zyada gaaliya bak doon,ya worse, ek mukka/thappar lage ke ghar se bahaar ho jaaun.
You see, not everyone has the same level of mental resilience/tolerance-and not only those with super-high tolerance levels go into the house. The whole point of the game is to test different mental strengths-that is what the original BB concept is. So to give a- why go into the house if he hasn't got the resilience-makes for a weak and unreasonable argument.
If everyone with same level of mental resilience went into the game, then how will that work? How will the dynamics in the game change? And how will different personalities be gauged if all are on the same wavelength?!
Aisa real life mein bhi nahi hota na? Not even in one household amongst family members.
And these lot have all come from different walks of life and different backgrounds.
If Shukla is wrong, then Asim isn't any right either. Both are wrong. Two wrongs cannot make a right. But cuz of the natural ingrained bias in us for our faves-we simply cannot accept/admit-both are wrong.
One's misdeeds does not give the other free pass of a Saint.
Asim is no Father Teresa like he's made out to be.
If he is, why go muh lago with gutter. Shukla gutter hi hai, Asim's the better person. Phir-be the bigger and better person too, na!
But with him, after a fight/argument has cooled down he goes back to poke and stretch it some more. And he's done that on many occasions. I'm sure Asim fans are aware of it too. He knows exactly what buttons to push on who(especially Shukla) for the desired reaction. He is quite the windup-merchant and he knows it too.
The first day of the task,he was all fired and geared up to fight, which was pretty evident from his aggressive body language-the smugness and cockiness painted on his face- And the poking and picking on everyone and everything that day, starting from the kitchen related shizz. Going into the bedroom when being told not to just to evoke a reaction from the other party. And he knew very well what he was doing. So again, these arguements of-isn't he even allowed to go to the room is also rather futile-when all know why he did.
From day 1 of task itself he'd managed to stir, poke and awaken the pig from his slumber-and that too knowing very well what reaction is likely to come his way.And what followed in the following days eppy in task was the aftermath of all the first days poking/provocation-And bottom line is-he got told he wasn't being seen, so in order to get seen-what better then his only source of footage in the show - Shukla. He wouldn't go start pushing another's buttons, as what good will that do him-the, rest aren't important enough, when he knows it's only the Shukla rivalry that will have him become talk of the town again.
As for why Shukla does what he does other times without poking or provacation-well that's Shukla for you-that's his character and his personality. Not justifying either-he is what he is. And like I said-by bringing all this up, as to the why's and how's, does not wash Asim of his wrongs either. He's abused too. Maybe not on Shukla level-but fact remains he's gone down that dirty road too to wrestle in the mud with the pig-they all have. By highlighting what Shukla and the rest have said amd done, don't change that Asim is just as much a culprit of the same.
His main modus operandi where game is concerned, is to poke. And my god, he's darn good at it too-gotta give him that much.
