Very likely. I remember him telling Asim in the early weeks that in the end we have to go against each other.
Also Sana stupidly keeps saying sidnaaz so she looks “fake” and he comes across as the aggrieved soul. He has been playing her all along and now that she’s more of an “hinderance” (for trophy) than help time to discard her.

He is trying to come off as the victim in the equation/breakup so the sidnaaz votes shift towards him and not sana.

also sana now openly said in WKW she wants the trophy. Before she was saying repeatedly she wants HIM to win. So he thought sana’s voters will vote for him and help him win.

The same weekend she makes it known she wants to win he very conveniently dumps her and makes it look like its because of “her” and she is at fault.

Sid is neither pissed nor concerned about Sana. he's waiting for the right time to dump her. kyunki show khatam hone wala hai, shukla dont wanna continue his whatever relationship with Shehnaz. moka milte hi he threw her under the bus.

I felt Sana is holding back on Sidnaaz after her father's visit ..so Sid backed off maybe thinking that Sana will chase after him again (which she did not do this time)...

So return of aggressive Sid ..because thats his only game ...Sidnaaz or Aggression
