Its 80% sure that the guy is not mj since mj's face was shown in the flashback but not the guy with the bracelet..
I think rudra either had an older brother or an uncle like the op said with whom he was close to..
I hope they dont end up showing the gut to be rudra himself and he lost memory or anything just for the big twist.. maya gets afraid even with the footsteps of mj so she might have atleast half the reaction to her bf and she is super fine with rudra from the start..
