I think he is blackmailing Neil about revealing his identity, his phone convo with the person he said words like how greedy can you be? Then when he heard from mini about the messages he said how dumb can one be I'm guessing his family may have hired a detective to find him that detective found Neil but now has started blackmailing Neil of revealing his identity to his family and Neil does not want his family to know about his whereabouts else he may have to leave his cooking dreams.
