That's because he didn't understand. He thought Parag was saying Himanshi is waiting for him to come out as a friend so she can get married. Later when everyone explained it including Shefali he realized what was truly said.

KT was my favourite but I agree the whole thing was so gross!

Upen was faking. He's never been genuine with anyone on the show.
