Yes there was. Actually if I’m not mistaken as soon as news of Ranbhoomi came out so did rumors that Varun doesn’t want Alia in it. But still, this announcement 😆. A little subtlety would have been nice.

A-week-later stars should not be of fest superstar's stature. SRK can't take advantage if he releases his movie a week after Eid, but a smaller star can. Symathy gets to the small one. Akshay took advantage coz he is not a 300cr star. His movies only need 120cr+ to get hit status. Baaki toh bonus hai.
