I really liked today's episode. Esp the 'mooh dikhayi' part. First of all Kudos to Laksmi for coming out in open and being an inspiration for so many of us. I really liked everyone's story. What happened to Vishal, Paras, Arti, Rashmi, Madhurima and even Shehnaaz in the past is what defines them today

Our childhood experiences either break us or make us. Its the reason we resent certain people, love certain others. We develop certain phobias that might not mean anything to anybody, but scare us to hell. Like Aarti cannot sleep alone, Rashmi has trust issues with family, Vishal cannot get himself to like his Dad, he couldn't even pursue studies bcos of that. Its these experiences at a young age that get engrained in our minds and our further journey is shaped bcos of them

Our biggest mistake is judging people so easily. Felt really bad when Vishal said he was made fun of bcos of his language, Paras is made fun of bcos of scanty hair, Rashmi was called out for being born a girl, that too an unlucky one. We don't even realise when we're mocking at certain people for a few shortcomings as to why they have it in the first place.

But the best part is that these people have fought back the demons in the society as well the demons in their minds, have emerged stronger and now at a position to share things at such a platform.

It takes great courage to bear certain things, greater courage to fight them and the greatest to speak about them and share it with the world.

Hats off to all of them and more power to them.👏

Our experiences and how we overcome them make us who we are. I hope people always manage to slay the demons in their lives, and emerge stronger and brighter than ever. The fact that all of them had the strength to talk about their stories on camera is highly commendable. I hope that these stories manage to encourage and inspire people to emerge strongly from the low points in their life.

Yes I agree

There are many who get entangled in this cycle and not able to fight back. Hope these stories help them to emerge stronger

Seriously. Don't know why they edited certain stories, esp Asim's

They didn't even show what certain members wished for

I agree with everything that the topicmaker said but one thing i would like to point out here (solely my pov) is that out of all, what i dont like about paras is that even after him facing all that nd knowing how it feels, he is deriving sadistic pleasure when he himself has bullied others on their status, materialistic things, looks nd their financial status. If you are hurt by something nd know how much impact it made on your life, you wouldnt do it to other people. Instead you would be more sympathetic nd understanding towards that behavior.

So this coming from him makes it look like not genuine but an act of getting sympathy. (I might sound wrong to you guys nd i apologize for that, but this is what i feel. Havent watched the epi. Just comenting going by the updates here)

Even Sana's behaviour tbh is bcos of the taunts she must have faced for not knowing proper English. She is insecure today cos she was made to look down upon at some time before. Maybe when Sana reaches Rashmi/Arti's age she'll be mature enough and would have managed to put all these insecurities behind her

I completely get your point and agree on that part as well. Well he did sound genuine when he shared his story. But yes he's quite insensitive when it comes to shaming others. Maybe its bcos people like him derive pleasure from seeking revenge from others for what they've gone through. That's called sadistic pleasure. That explains why ragging is still a part of certain institutes, sadly

And certain people learn to be more sensitive to others bcos of what they've gone through. So Paras has yet to learn a lot

Thank you, I was really impressed reading your title post , that explains, Childhood is indeed the foundation for our future behaviour,.. based on what I read, Shehnaaz clearly didn't have a safe, protected Childhood, that probably is the root cause of many of the behaviours she exhibits, it gives solace to my heart, that there is someone besides me , who is able to look into her traumatic past, defining her present, especially given she is begging people not yo give her that tag and especially indulging in self harm to counter the agonising memories

I see patients who present with deliberate self harm cutting themselves to taking overdoses to numb the pain of their past, like abuse, domestic violence, rape etc ...

I'm confident once she has a secure career, and steady income, her insecurities will hopefully fade and she will be strong to face the demons/ memories from.tge past affecting her present ...

I wish the society behaves in much more civil way and has compassion and empathy for people suffering with MHI, it's a very long distant dream, the way I can see and understand , feels skin to stoning a person for MHI 😭
