People are not appreciating that she took such a big risk. She could have easily chosen a safer movie but she didn't.

unfortunately people don't see the intent and hard work the stars and the whole team put into a film, it has become a habit for people to focus on only box office and they base the merit of the film only on that. Every actor chooses a movie with the right intention, and that is to be in a movie that the audience will hopefully like. ok the audience didn't connect with the film so it didn't do well at the box office, but i dont understand why people then bash, drag and mock the stars, and then people forget its not just the star that is in the movie its a whole team that makes it, how must they be feeling seeing such negativity towards the film

Exactly dear! This obsession with Box Office and trolling will someday affect important films like this and decision of stars like Deepika to pick them up.

Every film is not made for 100 crore club wish people understood that! And you are so right it must be so heartbreaking for the star and the entire team to see a films downfall celebrated like this.

Except cocktail and tamasha, she was bad in all other movies you've mentioned. My friend is her fan that's why she was disappointed with her acting.

Bad in Padmavat, Piku and Bajiro really? She was the central lead of the movie. Without her there was no movie. She was at her best in these three movies. But it's fine if you think by not giving her the due the audience feel the same!

Movie failed because of her bad acting. It's not SLB movie to deck up and do a ramp walk, this movie needed a powerful actress like Kangana or someone from south like Anushka.

Few were saying she didn't look like an acid attack victim and the make up was too bad. I already told in this forum that she looked more like an old lady than an acid attack victim.

And her last minute stunt at JNU didn't work too. She should have planned it at least a week before the release. Anyway, good luck for her next PR stunt 👍🏼. She keeps me entertained.

alot of the bashing is also tit for tat aswell, other fandoms are now getting their 'revenge' against deepika fans coz they have been mocked by some of them in the past, so alot of it doesn't even have to do with the stars, it got more to do with settling scores with other fandoms, like when a srk movie doesn't do well salman fans mock and celebrate, like wise when a salman movie doesn't do well srk fans mock and celebrate. So its all fandom politics, so you've gotta try not to take it to heart or get upset abut it

Yes she was bad in those movies. Central lead doesn't mean she's a good actress. All those movies didn't work at bo coz of her at least not bm and padmaavat!

Well with every film every actor take some amount of risk There is no certainty what will work and what not. All want their films to do well.

Reason why people are not appreciating is largely due to her fan base. I don't think people actually here or otherwise on SM hate Deepu much it's just that her fans put her on very high ground,look down and constantly criticize others. Hence others enjoy bashing her and her tactics. And jab you fall from high ground it is going to hurt a lot. The early they understand the better.

A big factor why Bajiro and Padmavat worked was because she was the female lead.

She was bigger star than Ranveer then because he hasn't had Simbaa and Gully Boy success and Priyankas career was almost over! So please give credit where it's due!

The film is excellently timed.She goes to Davos in afew days with foreign media more familiar with her name.

Meanwhile BW trade will be guaging what opening Street dancer would be getting.What to do with Shraddha's many back to back hits.

BOI will remain center of the universe.Because they all have nothing to do with the rest of the world.

Deepika has had a perfect career in films.I hope who replaces her..has many good roles..unites her haters against her..stays relevant and makes a difference.

What Deepika fans feel today -I wish fans of other stars also get to experience.It is like the universities around the country coming alive.

I have only one wish..I hope she makes it to the TIME list again this year.
