He has no talent whatsoever. He became popular only after Balika Vadhu directors relaunched him in a stylised way.

Not much was required from him in his role as Shiv. All he had to do was look good.

The actors playing Jagya and Anandhi and Derek’s sikhri carried him forward. He capitalized on their talent and their storyline.

The contrast in storyline gave his character the boost and popularity as well.

So he basically coasted to fame on the tails of the storyline, the direction, the rest of the really talented cast. All that was required of him was to look good in the frame.

Jisliye Asim 7.8 and rasmi ko 5.4 mila..
