Sorry, just have a little rant...
Why is Prerna being "handed off" from one male to another? Isn't this thinking incredibly regressive? On one hand, Ekta Kapoor boasts of showing her women as emancipated, but on the other hand, she is portraying her female lead as an object to be protected by a male. I know there have been many other questionable instances of this in this very show, but today's instance rubbed me the wrong way, especially since this was said by a female herself - Veena. Veena is asking Prerna's current husband to hand her off to her "future" husband (which I don't believe they will actually get married).
Rant over. But the real question is why am I questioning an EK show when none of her female leads are truly emancipated? 😆
Its been over a year and we are all immune to everything😆 The whole show is regressive starting from the sindoor fights to the kanyadaan but thats expected from a Balalji show.I think the content on television itself is getting more regressive with time
