Dont know what you talking about in first part... Couple of days back there was article shared here that said laxmi is paid penny for the movie rights when she deserved much more. Reason given was movie is not a biopic but has taken inspiration from her life... so will not be paid biopic rights.

I don't believe DP was the right choice for the role, and the trailer honestly looks boring, but how in the world is the cover or movie about DP cashing in? Yes, DP is probably doing it for critical acclaim, but that's pretty much every actor. It's their JOB.

She has her fame and money already. By putting Laxmi on the cover with her, acid attack victims are getting society to look them in the eye and confront the evil within.

Did Deepika or Meghna themselves said that Laxmi won't be paid as it's not a biopic ?

And if it's not a biopic then that puts your point of her not wanting to do biopic yet doing chhapaak falls flat, isn't it ?

Found it. She did not say if she was paid or not paid for the movie. She denied getting paid only 13 lakhs.
